Hello,
I wish I could keep the meta description of albums, but I wish not to appear on the gallery page is a set templates album http://test.vuedailleurs.com/galleries/
I put this in the CSS but it does not work
.album-description {
display: none;
}
Do you have an idea on how to proceed?
Thank you in advance.
Philippe
A very nice site with beautiful pictures!
Bravo
Philippe
Okay, as I said in another topic I am patient
I just change the size of the slide show, and it works very well also with 570 px
I also tested with box-shadow, it works just fine, but I do not like the shadows in the pictures.
Do you think that there is the ability to add text for images in the slideshow?
Thank you.
Philippe
rod barbee wrote:I see it in the inspector as a style being added inline to the slideshow div:
<div id="slideshow" class="fadein clearfix" style="height: 1020px;">
Would adding style="height: 700px !important;" to the "slideshow" div take care of this height that seems to be automatically added?
The slideshow code calculates the height based on the width of '#slideshow'. With the max-width setting, this value is set accordingly. So there is no need for this additional CSS.
It works on my test site, let's see if it works for Philippe as well.
Hello,
This works great!
The image is centered properly and margin below is calculated automatically, impeccable!
By cons I find it unfortunate that the minimum size of images in Backlight is 640 px, 570 px I think my pictures would have been okay.
Thanks again.
Philippe
Got my slideshow implementation documented. The example is over on my site at http://stage.danielleu.com/slideshow.php and the setup instructions are over on my blog.
It is easy to do and I am happy with the result.
Daniel thank you,
It works superbly well, but do you know how I can center the slideshow, and remove the huge margin that there below?
Thank you.
Philippe
I hope others can chip in on what they see. Were those screen shots of images that had been adjusted to fill the frame, or of the photos after clicking the "+" cursor on the photo? How about if you open the photo by itself (http://test.vuedailleurs.com/galleries/ … ge-014.jpg) in a new tab? Is the difference in sharpness just as pronounced between browsers?
Hi Ben,
Unfortunately I do not speak English, and sometimes Google translation I have some problems to understand!
Can you explain how you've done to me, to get this picture is good, because when I open it in Chrome, it is better than the picture on my test site.
That would mean that it is not from the browser!
Thank you in advance.
Philippe
Where I am surprised is that my site built with EC4 and the test site with Backlight what are the exact same images that come from the same Lightroom folders.
With http://phoneographie.com (EC4) large images are of the same quality in all browsers!
With http://test.vuedailleurs.com (Backlight) the same images that come from the same files that are not only more of the same quality in different browsers!
And this with different computers and different IP addresses
By opening the link you provided from a PC, Picture and of equal quality (good) in different browsers!
Mac (Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, Eizo ColorEdge screen) and PC (Samsung screen).
But not Retina except on MacBook Pro !

Here is the link : http://test.vuedailleurs.com/galleries/ … d=1&pid=28
Hello,
I think the quality of the great images in Google Chrome is less compared to Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer.
I would put this order of quality, starting with the best: Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, and Chrome last.
I am surprised because in my current site (built with EC4), the images are of the same quality in all browsers!
Does anyone have any idea of the problem?
Philippe
Google
Firefox
I just looked at my workplace quality large images with Internet Explorer.
I believe they are of lower quality than Firefox, but better than chrome!
All these differences in image quality is very strange for me!
Does anyone has an explanation?
Philippe
Good evening,
The albums description of problem is now resolved, following the recommendations of Matthew.
Thanks again.
By account there is always the image sharpness issue.
In the three browsers can I test my home, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, the sharpest images are in order: Firefox, Safari comes next, and finally chrome or she is really much worse than the rest !
Does anyone have any idea of the problem because my current site (built with EC4) in any browser images are still sharp!
Philippe
Matthew thank you to have a look at my problem.
I do not think I could watch it all before Sunday night, but I'm fine on my busy!
Good late night and good luck.
Philippe
Hi Matthew,
I defined a character limit of 100, and 50, and still the same problem whether on Mac or Windows!
I must say that it works correctly on my iPhone with Google Chrome.
Here are my settings
The Grid
Margin-top: 36px
Margin-bottom: 24px
The Cells
Border: 1px
Border-radius: 0px
Margins: 6px
Album Info
Description Character Limit: 250
Text-align: center
Layout Style Descriptive
Album Max-width: 502px
Album Height: 200px
Album Padding: 10px
Thumbnail Max-width: 300px
Max. Columns: 2
Columns at Page Breakpoint: 2
On the screenshots that show you, I also see the same thing! But if you click on the gallery Laos or Cambodia are set albums, there you may see where the problem is!
Philippe
Here are two screenshots, one with Chrome or no descriptions in the books, and the other with Firefox or descriptions are present. This is also the same with my laptop.
The presentation of large pictures with Google Chrome is less clear than in other browsers too!
I checked with my current site that is not in test, and the images are exactly the same with Firefox or Google!
Thank you
Philippe

The description of some albums (Cambodia, Laos), does not appear in Google Chrome, so it appears in other browsers ?
Furthermore the quality of large images is degraded, and always in Google Chrome ?
Has anyone any idea of the problem!
thank you in advance.

Hello,
I wanted to introduce my test site Backlight, I integrated with EC4 for wordpress. There are still a few imperfections, as the difference in color between the menus for Wordpress galleries and Backlight, I still can not resolve (I do not know where to put the phplugins for wordpress, so as to adjust to my taste the blog page). I do not manage to put a defined order for galleries. I also learned that he had to occasionally reset the home page for the images displayed correctly?
I think I'm going to wait to install a slide show on the home page as well as Wordpress for Backlight.
If you have any tips, suggestions, criticisms good or bad, do not hesitate!
Philippe
I also eat very often sandwiches, and it's true that there are good and sometimes less good!
All this to say my contentment with respect to products provided by TTG.
That's quite some time I use the TTG EC4 products, and now I'm currently testing BackLight, which I am sure will quickly evolve. I must admit that I was somewhere else if I was better, and I've tested a lot of things, only to stay with the TTG products, which seems to me to my most scalable opinion is the most flexible!

Hello everyone,
If I may, I'll explain how I updated.
First I updated from Backlight + page with Transmit as ftp software.
The first time I wanted to update, I drag and drop to replace the existing files, and I'm still left with the old version 1.0.2
I redo exactly the same operation later without first deleting files just by replacing them, and it worked flawlessly!
Philippe
I come again to reinstall, and then everything was wonderfully run.
I am version 1.0.3
Great !
Philippe
Good evening,
For me it's the same thing!
Philippe
I can be very patient
