Okay Ben, if you can fix it that would be great!
And I'd like to add my kudos about the improvements in BL2 - installation was as smooth as silk, and the update procedure is the best yet. Thanks for a great product - and thanks to Matt, Ben, Rod and Daniel for great support.
Is there a work-around possible with this issue - perhaps thru PHPlugins?
Firstly, I am speaking of a normal password protected album - in my case, albums within password protected album sets. I am NOT referring to client response albums.
When logged in to BL2 admin and reviewing existing albums in Backlight => Publisher => Galleries => Albums if you click on "View" for a password protected album you are taken to the "Access Code" page - at which point the only password or access code accepted is the one assigned to that particular album via Lightroom. The Master Password is rejected.
You can still review all of the photos and/or add/delete photos via the Galleries => Albums link, but you cannot "view" the album as your client would and verify that all is well (unless you maintained a listing of the various passwords assigned to each album set). With multiple albums assigned varying passwords through Lightroom - and the added fact that as a matter of course I have not maintained a listing of those individual passwords - having relied on master password access in the past - I'm faced with either changing the existing password to something I know and notifying the client of the change, or trying to establish a password list for clients after the fact.
Being logged in to BL2 Admin, I can access and view all of the photos as you said.
What I cannot do is test an album to make sure everything works (cart, packages, etc.) without the access code assigned to the customer.
Backlight2 Pangolin albums uploaded via Lightroom CC -
When trying to access password protected album set, BL2 asks for Access Code - which works when it corresponds to the individual passwords assigned via Lightroom.
How do I use established Master Username/Master Password ? Although enabled in BL2 settings, there is nowhere to enter a Master Username at all, and the "Enter Access Code" box will not accept the Master Password I set.
The photos I had originally assigned to certain pages made the transition to Backlight2 - but.......
Can't for the life of me find out where to assign a new photo to a page (or for that matter, where the existing photos are assigned). I can upload photos via Designer=>Templates=>Uploaded Images, but that's where it ends.
Will the new BL2 TTG-Publisher.lrplugin still work with BL1 sites?
I want to set up Backlight 2 in a subdirectory and get it working before discontinuing my old BL1 site.
Will the coming Backlight 2 require a new purchase of a cart module, or will the current cart work with the new program?
Try backlight>publisher>settings Near the bottom in the "Other" category.
Also note that the documentation states the folder should be named "photos-for-purchase" - if the page is looking for a nonexistent folder it will respond as you stated above. ….. I think.
A UUID is a universally unique identifier. But don't know anything else about them.....
Contact Ben at (email) with a link to your website and guest login credentials for your Backlight installation
Looks like you changed the way you were naming - The January link shows ".....galleries/print-of-the-month/201801potm/" and the December link shows ".....galleries/print-of-the-month/pikes-peak-morning/".
With that naming scheme they are in the correct order.
Is there a way to retrieve passwords that have been set on Album Sets within Publisher?
Just as an FYI -
I notice that the "Docs" menu above leads to the CE4 docs page at
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku.php
rather than to the support page with links to both backlight and CE4 docs at
http://theturninggate.net/support/
Seemed odd in that the emphasis of the forum is directed to Backlight.
But as I said - just an FYI in case it was overlooked.
And then - the "Shop" menu points toward CE4 products also.......

For the first part of your question - Go to -
Backlight > Designer > Localization

Again attempted to download the Cart 4.1.5 update, but all I get is the 4.1.4 version that came out in July I think. Unless it is still labeled as 4.1.4 I think something continues to be missing.
Did Ben perhaps make an error when he mentioned that the latest version was 4.1.5 in the post above?
Ben - saw this and attempted to download latest Cart version, but the download link still lists it as version 4.1.4 Where can I find a link to Cart 4.1.5?
What are your suggestions, if any, for handling the right-click capability of Windows 10 to share your photos, even those in password protected albums, onto social media? I have my photos for sale watermarked, and they retain the watermark when shared to facebook, twitter, etc. But they go out at a "fairly" decent size - the one I just checked came in at 912x1140 pixels. Not a great print size, but plenty large enough for unauthorized sharing on screens.
Or perhaps there just isn't a good option for this?
Glen
You should be able to do that in Lightroom once your template is designed. Just edit the album in lightroom and select the new template, then click "edit".

Just wanted to take a minute and say "Thanks!" to Matthew, Ben, and Rod (and anyone else I might be missing) for the excellent product you have developed.
And for anyone still on the fence about buying Backlight, all I can say is that I doubt you'll find another product out there that is as versatile or has the dedicated support that you'll find here. These guys have done, and continue to do, a simply fantastic job. Mistakes? Yes, they make a few as do we all. But the vigor with which they tackle a discovered fault is amazing.
Thanks fellas. And have a GREAT 4th !!
I need to change the color of the cart widget that shows up in the top pallet after an item is placed in the cart. Can you give me an idea of the css selector I need to target?
Thanks.
In Design Template -
Masthead => Identity => Site Title - enter the desired title, or leave blank to use company name
=> Top Pallet - Visible on Desktop - On
=> Top Pallet - Visible on Mobile - On
=> Primary Masthead - Location - Disabled
I believe that should do it.
Does the Cart support "Paypal Payments Pro" in addition to standard Paypal - ie accepting credit card transactions with paypal as the gateway?
Perhaps, had you entered your first name rather than the "Mr", the automated emailing system would have been nicer. Matthew doesn't sit up all night individually addressing email from a printed list- the SendOwl system presumes you entered your first name and uses what it can extract from your registration information to attempt to personalize what is sent to you.
