I want to increase the size of the displayed large image (on desktops) but unable to find the parameters to do this, the terms Mantle width and core width appear under both Color Palette and Appearance / galllery/media Area but neither seem to do much.
The original image sizes are greater than 4000px wide but the displayed images are 800 by 600 px
My site is here http://ipgphotography.uk/galleries-2/ the Polperro/Looe test gallery is using HTML:Single Image for the desktop presentation and the other galleries use Magnific pop up.
Thanks,
Paul
To verify my site on Pinterest I have to add a code to an index.html file, there is no such file in the top directory on my site, is it ok to create one or will this mess up access to my site. I'm using Pages, and Galleries from TTG - or is there another way?
Thanks
Paul
Ok, I got there in the end, I couldn't get the custom.css file to work at all, after reading this post http://community.theturninggate.net/top … t-working/ I'm guessing I didn't have the paths set correctly.
Anyway I added the code Matthew quoted (changed to suit my color theme) to the style.css and it works ok. I know I will have to edit this file if I upload the theme again but that won't be a problem
Hmm,
thanks Rod, it looks a bit more complicated than I was expecting but I'll have a look at it and give it a go
I would like to add borders to my sidebar widgets (inspired by this theme http://flooringwarehouseoutlet.com/)
I've looked in the Lightroom setup but can't find any option, I came across this post on the WP forums https://wordpress.org/support/topic/put … nd-widgets but I can't find the term .widget-container in the styles.css file. I tried adding
.widget-container {
margin: 0 0 18px 0;
border: 1px solid #999;
}
into the css but it didn't seem to do anything (but I may not of added it to the correct place in the css file - I added it after the lines "/* WordPress Sidebar
=================================================== */").
If these line should work could someone tell me where to add them or give any other suggestions of how to create borders.
The site I'm working on is http://ipgphotography.uk/wordpress/
Thanks,
Paul
Ok Ben, I'll leave it for now,
I'm not committed to the TTG plugins at this stage, I doing some trials with JAlbum and other software and trying to decide which is the most convenient to use under my circumstances.
For the record I don't get any problems uploading the same batch of images either with ftp or JAlbum's built in uploader, it just seems specific to TTG.

Hi Rod,
No, its small images, around 800px wide, just for display
When I'm trying to upload images to a gallery, publisher starts uploading OK but after a few images (8-10) the upload stops with this message
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/241 … 0error.jpg
If i click the OK button and start the upload again everything is ok for another batch of around 8-10 images and the error message appears again. This repeats until I eventually I finish the upload, all the images get uploaded in the end.
This has been going on for a while now (different galleries) , more annoying than anything else, just means I can't set the upload going and walk away.
Using Lightroom 5.7 on Windows 7 64 bit

Ok Rod, I'll have a play around with the sidebar tomorrow, time permitting
Ahh, thanks Rod,
I've just done your first suggestion and it looked reasonable but now I'll have a play with the styling and improve on it
Because my standard gallery template doesn't display the block, and therefore doesn't show the search box, I created a gallery template specifically for the search page. I thought I would use template to show some text on the search page, in the block/page copy field I entered "This search function displays results from all the galleries on this site" and ticked the "display on all pages" box.
But it doesn't show, just the standard default text and search box, the search function works ok.
Any ideas where I'm going wrong?
The site is http://paulgulliver.co.uk
It seems the pagination strip color is governed by the thumbnail cell background color, so I have now adjusted this color to match the page background color and readjusted the thumbnail margins and I've got the result I was looking for.
Paul
Thanks Rod,
Yes it appears the pagination preview only appears after its been saved and not after the refresh.
I've altered the text color at the moment (on the Lightroom preview).
On the site I'm having problems with the custom CSS.
I've renamed the phplugins-sample to just phpplugins (in the gallery), and I've edited the phplugin.php file to enable custom css but it doesn't recognize any change I make in the custom css file.
I'm going to have to leave it for now and have another look tomorrow.
I might edit the template in the publisher section and re-upload the gallery and try it that way.
Referring to this page
http://paulgulliver.co.uk/galleries/por … transport/
how do I change the background color of the strip above the thumbnails that contain the gallery page number links. If I'm not able to change the background, then what parameter changes the text color.
I know some other links don't work, please ignore them.
Thanks,
Paul
Rod, first, thanks very much for going to that trouble to sort out my problem, much appreciated.
Ok, it looks as though I'll have to go through it all, as you have done, and remove the <p> tags, I didn't realize you couldn't mix the tags and markdown, in fact I thought the tags were part of the markdown language, just shows how little I know
.
Strangely this whole section was copied and pasted from the equivalent CE3 module and I'm sure it worked there ok, perhaps there is something different about the way the CE4 module works, anyway not to worry at least I now know the way forward.
Thanks again for help,
Paul
I'm in the process of converting from CE3 to CE4 and I'm having problems with some markdown text not displaying correctly.
As an example in the Service page sidebar I have this:
[Fine Art America](http://paul-gulliver.artistwebsites.com/index.html) offer framed and unframed prints on a variety of materials.
Within Lightroom (and in the Markdown pad) it displays correctly with the words "Fine Art America" as a link to the given web site, however when I upload it to my site it displays as it was typed - shown here
http://paulgulliver.co.uk/services.php
I've tried both Chrome and Firefox and both show it incorrectly, where am I going wrong?
The web site is only in the early stages of development so there are a lot of incorrect links and text, please ignore the rest of the site
Paul
Thats fine, thanks Matt
I seem to be going mad here, I'm trying to find out what the discount is for upgrading various items from CE3 to CE4, I know I'm not entitled to a free upgrade. I don't actually want to buy at this time, but I'm trying to get an idea of the total cost to upgrade in the near future.
I've got as far as adding items to the cart but can't see where to add the discount code, can someone just give a typical % discount please.
Thanks,
Paul
Thanks Matthew for the quick reply.
If a user upgrades to CE3 will the new plug in read the settings created by the equiv. CE2 plug in or will the user have to start the design from scratch.
Just wondering how much work will be involved taking the upgrade path (I'm using Pages, auto index and highslide gallery (and possibly Publisher - if I pull my finger out in the next couple of days
)
Paul
Matthew, after reading all the above replies I think I tend to agree with you on the future of the web module and I'll continue to develop my site using your plugins.
I have no knowledge of Scott and this is the first of his books I have purchased, perhaps there was something that upset him in the web module and he's had a downer on it ever since
.
Long may the web module reign.
Well in his Lightroom 4 book Scott Kelby says "Adobe has ... well... they've kind of abandoned it" and in the video on this page http://kelbytraining.com/books/lr4 (about 3 minutes in) he goes on to say he thinks/hopes they may change the module to a proofing module.
When I hear comments like this from a person that must be close to Adobe I get a bit worried about long term future of plugins using this module.
Perhaps to safeguard the future of these modules (and your customers), you should consider a stand alone program in the way other plugin manufactures have done (Topaz for example).
At the moment I'm using The Pages with Highslide gallery and was thinking of using The Publisher to make updating my galleries easier. I've just read a book on Lightroom by Scott Kelby and he (and other "experts") seem to think there is a strong chance that Adobe will drop the web module from Lightroom in future updates( LR5, LR6?).
Are there any plans to get around this if it happens - like making a stand-alone program for the design of the galleries and Pages and just using Lightroom for publishing.
I'm not worried about the cost of buying the TTG modules but I am concerned about spending a lot of time creating a web site that I may not be able to tweak or re-design in 12-18 months time.
Paul
Ok, found it, thanks.
