Verifying site for Pinterest

To verify my site on Pinterest I have to add a code to an index.html file, there is no such file in the top directory on my site, is it ok to create one or will this mess up access to my site. I'm using Pages, and Galleries from TTG - or is there another way?

Thanks
Paul

Re: Verifying site for Pinterest

Don't add an index.html file to the root of your site. It will conflict with index.php. if you need to insert code to the index.php file, use phplugins. You can probably use the ttg_head_end hook.
