Wonderful information, Ben, and Rod, a big thanks for the testing. I can't wait to implement this.
This is all very interesting information, and while somewhat helpful, I too would like to find out if there is an attribute that can be used to specify the extension.
I am attempting to setup CART to provide digital downloads of a PDF that I have created, and am at a complete loss as to the setup. Again, this is not a photo. I would like to know where to store the file on the server and what I need to setup in cart to get this to work. Everything that I have done so far has been for naught.
Thanks for any help.
I truly appreciate all of the input. Rod, you will be happy to know that the last idea (set images per page to greater than 1) did the trick. I didn't think of that for whatever reason because the slideshow only shows one at a time. Anyway, that solved the problem and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Yea.
Now on to the next thing...
Thanks again.
I have made the four changes suggested in your second to last reply, and again no love.
I have since implemented the last reply's change and find that galleria is working there as you can see.
I am stumped.
I am ready for the next suggestion.
Thanks for the help, and sorry that this isn't easier.
All the images were published.
I tried as you suggested, that is, turn-off "Push metadata without updating photos", saved, left as-is, and republished all images, but still no love.
I have added /test/ sub-directory to the about, and contact menu items and all is well there. Thanks.
Yes. I have published 6 images.
I had not checked phplugins. I have fixed now. So all that remains is the slideshow.
To answer:
The "pages-gallery" slug album was created with 6 images.
I have corrected the text issue. Thank you.
I asked about the menu because it (the template) can find the galleries just fine, just not about or contact, but I can make the necessary changes with no problem.
Hello, I'm back again.
I posted last week with an issue concerning a publisher controlled Home Page Slideshow.
First, I would like to confirm that when doing this, the entire Home page is replaced with the template created for Publisher to upload a slideshow?
I am having three issues.
1. The slideshow does not work.
2. There is no text or 'Block' below the slideshow area.
3. The menu cannot find 'About' or 'Contact'
I have configured everything correctly in Lightroom. The site is www.emergent-visions.com/test/.
I can make a change to include the /test/ directory for the menu issue, but it seems awkward seeing that Pages does not have the same problem.
Help. please.
I can work around all issues, but would not have publish control that would make things easier.
After consideration, I have decided to burn down this test site and start fresh. I did take dl's suggestion and disable directory browsing with .htaccess.
Thank you for the help.
To answer the two questions: Yes and Yes
The site is located at www.emergent-visions.com/test/
I have created a Galleria slideshow for my Home page, with text underneath. I then created a Stage template for Publisher to use. Uploaded everything, setup the Publisher instance per documentation and published. My problem is that the slideshow does not start, nor is there any text underneath.
What have I done wrong, please?
I'll have to wait until I get the site up on the server. Thanks for your help.
I am using the latest Publisher and Gallery. Per the second issue, yes the autoindex thumbnail. As I mentioned, I am using WAMP on my local machine, so I am not sure I can give access to the gallery.
I have two issues with Gallery. I have setup gallery with large image presentation as HTML: single image. When I upload the gallery (I'm using WAMP), it produces image.php files so when I choose an image from the thumbnail grid, the large image shows correctly. I have used the same template for a Publisher template, but when I publish the gallery, no image.php files are created, so that when I choose a thumbnail image, I generate an error that the .php file cannot be found. What is going on?
The second issue is that neither the uploaded gallery nor the published gallery is showing an image for the gallery, even though I have setup with random image selection. Again, what is going on?
