I ditched CE4 on new server, new domain due to issues of single.php page not loading on web. Spent all day on phone and internet trying to solve problem with remote access to tech guy all to no avail.

So I decided to clear the whole site and start again.
Uploaded backlight folder, .htaccess file, galleries folder, index.php

Tried to sign into https://art4homes.co.uk/backlight  AND .....

Something went wrong

Unexpected error: syntax error, unexpected '&' in MenuHelper.php on line 255

#5 Re: Backlight Support » Lost ability to tweet image ? » 2017-08-12 05:49:49

example.

Am I having a blonde moment here ?

#6 Re: Backlight Support » Lost ability to tweet image ? » 2017-08-11 17:53:27

Unless I'm missing something, those links are to my pages on twitter, facebook, etc

The link I'm looking for is to post the image to my twitter feed.

The one important thing to me is social sharing of images. I loved CE4's ability to show images on twitter with the text.  Can't seem to find where to 'switch this on' in Backlight.

I don't write or understand any code that is why I have been using this system. So talking phplugins or css is all greek to me.

#8 Re: General » Buying backlight and add ons cart not working » 2017-08-08 00:32:58

Have moved from the laptop to the desktop and still same problem.  Looks like I'm going to have to purchase each one separately.  What a pain.

"Any chance an ad-blocker, or some other browser extension might be interfering with the shopping cart? Do you have Javascript enabled in your browser?"

The answer to those questions are : I have no idea

I do most of my shopping on the internet and usually don't have a problem.

Decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to Backlight.

http://theturninggate.net/product-colle … backlight/

Clicked Backlight and pages - add to cart  - continue shopping

Clicked cart  - add to cart - continue shopping

Clicked wordpress - add to cart - continue shopping

View cart

Shopping Cart
You have no items in your shopping cart. When you add items they will appear here.

NO THEY DON"T

Doesn't give me much faith in the system.   Any ideas.

#10 Re: CE4 Publisher » Error Message » 2017-08-04 21:13:47

Ok, solved that. Realised what it was after I did a search of the forum

#11 Re: CE4 Publisher » Error Message » 2017-08-04 20:58:21

I'm getting a similar problem.  Have just tried to update a gallery and this came up.

Can't update this collection
The rendition could not be created.  Please ensure that the original file name is accessible, especially when stored on external or network storage.

Have now tried all galleries and same problem.  Made a new gallery and same message.  HELP

#13 Re: CE4 Publisher » Migration issue » 2015-07-13 17:08:39

Yes I did, BUT the Publisher lightroom plug-in was in the USERS folder so I had to copy that after the event when I realised that it hadn't migrated any of the folders from there.

Hi,
I have found it necessary to migrate everything from my old imac to a new Macbook. Everything seems to work fine except the TTGCE4 Publisher.
Under the manager it says TTG CE4 Publisher
                                       (not saved)

Can't use Plug-in "TTG CE4 Publisher"
The "nil" plug-in is not installed or not functioning properly

It is not listed in teh Plug-in Manager.

Any ideas apart from starting again.

Thanks

Kris

#15 Re: CE4 Cart » No products are available for purchase. » 2014-11-28 18:13:59

Thank you so much.
It's updated and looking good.
Now I feel I can migrate all the older galleries across.

#16 Re: CE4 Cart » No products are available for purchase. » 2014-11-27 06:42:38

This is the one not working.
http://www.krismercer.co.uk/galleries/36_print/
I would rather not mess with the other prices as the physical ones work fine.
Seems there was a server problem going on at the same time and the other galleries are working fine again now.
The 45.txt, 650.txt etc etc worked before and is still working.
the download pricing schemes haven't got any punctuation.
DD150 etc
Will check my password etc for server and pm you

#17 Re: CE4 Cart » No products are available for purchase. » 2014-11-27 04:20:51

Yes it's all new in the CE4 cart admin.
Have pm'd you password for cart admin

#18 Re: CE4 Cart » No products are available for purchase. » 2014-11-27 04:10:06

Yes there is a pricing scheme for DD150 in fact it's still in use from CE3 here.
I had forgot about these.
http://www.krismercer.co.uk/art/galleries/60_flora/
There is also DD495 and DD995 and DD99
All of which worked in the painting gallery until I upgraded to CE4 and tried to upgade the gallery with a new template.
All the gallery prices seem to work other than the download so the CE4 cart is working ok for physical.

I now seem to have found another problem. Although the galleries for physical sales work on my desktop I've just gone into them to give you an instance of a working gallery and they don't work on laptop.
Now I get; Something went wrong. Please contact etc.......

#19 Re: CE4 Cart » No products are available for purchase. » 2014-11-27 03:06:02

I sent Ben access yesterday. Yes, mixed pricing is checked as the gallery would have mixed pricing. Is that an anomally. Does it mean something else.
I looked at the old gallery settings in lightroom 3 for the downloads in CE3 cart and they were checked too.
They did work, In fact they still do so it can;t be the cart.

#20 Re: CE4 Cart » No products are available for purchase. » 2014-11-26 22:47:47

Okay, I am now pulling my hair out.
5hrs + and still nowhere.

I have so far tried.
Changing the file names to numbers. Republish- NO difference
Clear cache
Remove gallery. Make new templates for every possible configuration and test.
Remove all social media.
Clear cache
Republish - NO difference
Recheck all other galleries without digital downloads.

Cart working on these galleries.

Remove a lot of pricing schemes and products from cart admin.

New gallery for virtual that doesn't work
http://www.krismercer.co.uk/galleries/36_print/

Prices at default work fine as Product not for sale
All other pricing schemes seem to be okay

HELP !!!

It's got to be something really stupid that i've overlooked.

#21 Re: CE4 Cart » No products are available for purchase. » 2014-11-25 07:04:31

It doesn't make a difference. As file names, photos etc all have same name. Semms to have more to do with me messing up the cart pricing again.

#22 Re: CE4 Cart » No products are available for purchase. » 2014-11-25 04:13:40

I may have just solved this. In the photos-for-purchase, Publisher has renamed all my images by putting underscores in the spaces. Is this the problem and how can I stop it ?

Oh maybe not. The one that hasn't changed has same problem

#23 Re: CE4 Cart » No products are available for purchase. » 2014-11-25 04:08:39

See this post

http://community.theturninggate.net/top … downloads/

I am having the same problem.
I did a search and didn't realise that the above was CE3 forum and my prob is with CE4 cart but it's the same issue.

I paid for a test image fine but then realised there was no download. (This did work for me in CE3cart)
Got an email, checked the cart settings it was set to physical, no way to change it or delete.
(There is no box to change to download)
Changed name. Set up new digital download - download - pricing schemes fine.
Tried to buy another image but now I get
No products are available for purchase
Please try again later, or contact the artist if this problem persists.

I've been trying and I have deleted the gallery and started afresh to no avail.

Thank you. That really was way too simple

Under the heading...Manage Charges - Standard Delivery
it says
Leave fields blank for charges that do not apply.

So if for instance all my shipping is free from the UK (Region changed to UK) can I leave the status as incomplete and not fill in any charges. !
