#1 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Backlight 2 installer not recognizing order number » 2019-08-30 05:48:33

Just tried again.  Spell check capitalized the first letter of my email address.  That caused the rejection.  All is well for the moment.

backlight/installer does not recognize my order number

#4 Re: Backlight Support » clean installation of backlight » 2018-01-27 01:48:06

Rob, I tried that and it didn't work for some reason.  I couldn't find the file password.txt nor could I retrieve or delete all passwords.  Maybe I deleted a file?? in any case, it was easier to reinstall.

Thanks Rob.

Ben, my website as it is presented now is TTG 3 I think.  That shows how much I have kept up with the changes.  So, it was easier for me to clean install.  Thank you as I now know another way to solve the problem in the future.

I have procrastinated for a long time to install my backlight.  So I have nothing there but the bones of the site.  Can I do a clean install from backlight 123- release 4?  I cannot reset my password.  The password file does not exist on my installation when looking at it in the FTP site.  Perhaps a clean install will fix my problem?

#6 Re: Backlight Support » Google Fonts » 2016-09-03 13:23:24

I think I got that now Rod. Still working on it.

#7 Re: Backlight Support » Google Fonts » 2016-08-27 13:28:37

Oops. Didn't read your last. I did write it in the prep end font-family w/.   What I wrote was "Italiano" without the quotes. Was that correct?

#8 Re: Backlight Support » Google Fonts » 2016-08-27 13:25:30

The instructions in tips were strait forward other than the text did not match Matthew's example.

#9 Re: Backlight Support » Google Fonts » 2016-08-27 09:03:41

What I see on the google website does not end in CSS.  Should it.  As a result (apparently) I don't see the font in the list in the template.

#10 Re: General » Reinstall Windows/update lightroom vers. and CE3>4 » 2016-08-24 02:09:40

Thanks Mathew. I downloaded it for my use this morning and will start my first client on it this afternoon.

I have been quite happy with my ce3 website.  Can you tell me what I might want in the current Backlight system.  I looked at the video and it looks like it would be easier to build and maintain.  As I have several people asking me about websites at the moment I want to recommend something for them.  Is Backlight likely to be useable long term?

I redownloaded the web engines for my ce-3 package but there is no TTG-CE3-WordPress.lrwebengine, TTG-CE3-Stage.lrwebengine, or TTG-CE3-CRG.lrwebengine.  I do have a TTG-CE3-Auto-Index-Enabler.lrwebengine.  My website uses wordpress for my attached blog but I am not sure how I got it there.

Thanks Rod. I hope I have the file you mentioned somewhere.  I don't look forward to doing the whole thing again.

I lost all of the plug-ins for ce3 at some unknown time.  I upgraded my mac and the operations system with a clean install.  That may have caused the problem.  My system is backed up and operational but the ce-3 isn't working in lightroom.  I looked at the folder found my .irtemplate plug in there.  I reinstalled that and the publisher plugin.  Now the publisher works and I see the the irtemplate in the template browser.  I now seem to have the proper background for the gallery.  I don't have any of the pages setup.  My website is still functional.  Can I download my website or part and install some part of it in the web module of lightroom to reconstruct what I am missing in lightroom?  I know.  Crazy but I don't want to reconstruct the website.

I use CE3.  Is it easier to update my website with the latest version of TTG?

In your blog the photos are seen with the titles for the blog postings to give a visual preview of the post.  In my blog the photos are all inside the blog post.  How can I cause one or more photos to appear in the list of posts?  "List of posts" may not be descriptive.  I mean the page where a list of the most recent posts appears with a short excerpt from the full post.

#17 Re: General » Duplicate website on another computer » 2014-04-02 12:35:05

Thanks Rod.  I will try this tomorrow.  I am at my desktop now but I do carry my catalog when I am on the road so this should fix my problem.

I am on the road and thought it would be a piece of cake to duplicate my website www.voyagerphotography.com on my traveling macbook.  Not so say I.

Can you tell me if and if so how I can duplicate the necessary elements of TTG 3 on this computer so I can update while traveling?

Thank you.

#19 Re: Announcements & Information » pages setup jitters each time I refresh » 2013-04-27 05:24:22

Thanks Rob.  That gave me the clue although obviously I am using a large monitor (27").  I had the page width set at Auto as I thought it would give me the largest page when viewing from a large monitor and that would be scaled to smaller monitors as needed.    I set the width to fixed at 1140 and it stabilized.  Should I build the site at 1140 pixels and then set it at auto when I upload to my server?

I am setting up a website.  I am working on the pages module.  The pages jitter each time I refresh after changing an element. I can stop the jittering by resizing the window on my desktop but it takes a bit of experimenting to do that.  Nothing seems to be repeatable to stop the jittering.  I am certain that the program is not supposed to jitter in the first place.  I am working on a 27" iMac in the latest OS.

Thanks for the help.
