#1 Re: CE4 Client Response Gallery » Select-all button? » 2015-05-14 18:43:09

Fair comment. CRG is still really useful without but I'd consider this a beneficial refinement were it possible. Please add it to the wish-list for future development..

On reflection, I always edit through rejection, starting with all images included and then rejecting the weakest frames to cut down to my final selection. If CRG could work in the same way I think it'd be even better than it is now.

Thanks for all the good work - CE4 is totally brilliant right now and your prompt replies here are much appreciated.

Luckily I have no idea what you're talking about but rabbit holes sound adventurous. To a simple photographer, it would seem like a small ask..

Please do it if you can chaps, it'd be very lovely and my client would be extremely happy not to have to do all that clicking.

Having just made my first CRG gallery, the first question my client asked is "How do I choose the pictures I don't want?"

I appreciate this isn't really how the gallery was designed to work but a 'select all images' button would be really useful. Is this something you could consider adding in future development?

thanks

#4 Re: CE4 Gallery » Thumbstrip in Highslide Slideshow » 2015-01-22 19:37:16

Thanks for the prompt replies. I'm disappointed to see this go but, as always, massively impressed with your speedy and comprehensive response.

I'll explore the Stage option...

I'd really like to show the thumbstrip in my Highslide Slideshow as per CE3 - is this feature no longer available?

#6 Re: CE4 Auto Index » Masonry Layout for Auto Index » 2015-01-21 23:34:20

Please do Matthew - I'm sure I can do something with this by designing individual thumbnails but..

Auto index appears to form a much wider role in CE4 and it really would benefit from a few more options. A masonry layout would be massively helpful.

Please

Is this no longer possible?

I'm trying to recreate my CE3 galleries page and it seems that it'll look sadly lacking...

Please tell me I'm mistaken.. or that you're working on it.

thanks

#8 Re: CE4 Pages » Centre Page Content » 2014-09-19 05:00:52

So it's a bad idea to try mixing Markdown and HTML.. That's a tough one. Thanks for the tips, I'll go spend some more time on this.

#9 Re: CE4 Pages » Centre Page Content » 2014-09-19 02:54:54

Thanks Rod. Your html workaround does centre text but my other formatting all goes wrong.. I'm sure it's my bad coding but I have no idea why.

Without the centring html: http://af.vu/pages3/about.php
with the centring html: http://af.vu/pages2/about.php
(I'm loosing email links and gaining underscores that are supposed to make bold text)

Also.. managed to make one phone number clickable but only by adding the same line of code twice, otherwise it doesn't show:

__Jim:__ <i style="color: #f93;" class="fa fa-envelope"></i> <jim@af.vu>          <i style="color: #f93;" class="fa fa-phone"></i> <a href="tel:+447831507226>07831 507226</a>

<a href="tel:+447831507226”>07831 507226</a>

I appreciate this is about markdown and html and not really about the CE4 Pages but if my stupid errors are obvious, please point them out..

I want to centre content on my 'About' page. Clicking the alignment dialogue seems to do nothing. Am I missing something here?

Also, is there a way to make phone numbers clickable on a smartphone?

thanks

#11 Re: CE4 Gallery » Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access » 2014-07-29 18:11:37

Wow, you fixed it!  From changelog for v6.0.1 ( 2014-07-29 ) "Apostrophes should no longer break Album Titles."

How amazingly fantastic are you guys? Thanks TTG, this is truly wonderful

#12 Re: CE4 Gallery » Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access » 2014-07-19 20:53:37

Bad title was entered under "Album Title" in Album Info in the Color Palette section. I wrote "Ailin's Wedding" - the site worked fine until I password protected it, at which point it failed. Changing the title to "Ailin Wedding" fixed the issue.

#13 Re: CE4 Gallery » Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access » 2014-07-19 17:34:56

Oops!

Sorry people, this was my error. I used an apostrophe in my album title and this has messed with the code. A stupid mistake..

With a new album title using legal characters the published password protected gallery works perfectly. It's one to watch out for.

Thanks to Matthew for the help.

#14 Re: CE4 Gallery » Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access » 2014-07-19 05:28:25

Just made a dummy using TTG's CE4 Gallery Default template and password protection works fine. Clearly you're right, it's my settings but I have no idea where I can have gone wrong..

#15 Re: CE4 Gallery » Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access » 2014-07-19 04:51:53

Actually I'm not using publisher - my web page created with CE4 Gallery and uploaded using Fetch to my web space. I'm doing this just the same as I did with CE3 passworded galleries, at least I think I am.. What settings can I give you? Can I simply upload my Lightroom template so you have all of them?

#17 Re: CE4 Gallery » Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access » 2014-07-18 22:36:50

So it appears to work but I still get an error message when trying to access the site:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 's' (T_STRING) in ../index.php on line 64

I never actually get to the login screen.. Any ideas?

#18 Re: CE4 Gallery » Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access » 2014-07-18 22:06:52

It's true.. LR now allows me to enter different details.. I'll upload and see if the error message goes.

Thanks!

#19 Re: CE4 Gallery » Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access » 2014-07-18 21:25:28

I have the same issue - I can't enter different details for Guest and Master Credentials.

Also, I've made a website using password protection with the same credentials in both categories and get the following error message when trying to access the site:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 's' (T_STRING) in /data04/jimvarn3/af.vu/am/index.php on line 64

CE4 plugins were downloaded yesterday so I'm assuming I'm running the latest versions.
