Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Hi,
I'm only using CE4 gallery. When trying to set different credentials for guest/admin access the other one gets changed also. Right now I can only define one set of credentials and not two.
Can anyone confirm this?

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Sorry, I'm a little confused by your terminology. Are you referring to Master and Guest Credentials for password protection, or something else?

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Yes, I'm referring to Master/Guest credentials. And if I change one of them the other gets automaticly change to the same values. In CE3 I was able to change them seperatly.

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Thanks. I just downloaded the new version and tried to set different credentials. And at least in the preview it worked.

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

I have the same issue - I can't enter different details for Guest and Master Credentials.

Also, I've made a website using password protection with the same credentials in both categories and get the following error message when trying to access the site:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 's' (T_STRING) in /data04/jimvarn3/af.vu/am/index.php on line 64

CE4 plugins were downloaded yesterday so I'm assuming I'm running the latest versions.

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

I received a mail today with a new version 6.01. Perhaps you are still on 6.00?

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

It's true.. LR now allows me to enter different details.. I'll upload and see if the error message goes.

Thanks!

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

So it appears to work but I still get an error message when trying to access the site:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 's' (T_STRING) in ../index.php on line 64

I never actually get to the login screen.. Any ideas?

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Here's a passworded export-and-upload gallery that works:
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/ttg-be/te … -password/

Here's a passworded publisher gallery that works:
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/demos/01- … assworded/

guest/guest for both.

So the plugin is working. If you're having issues, then you're going to need to give more information about your setup. Like are you using publisher or not? What settings are you using? Etc.

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Actually I'm not using publisher - my web page created with CE4 Gallery and uploaded using Fetch to my web space. I'm doing this just the same as I did with CE3 passworded galleries, at least I think I am.. What settings can I give you? Can I simply upload my Lightroom template so you have all of them?

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Just made a dummy using TTG's CE4 Gallery Default template and password protection works fine. Clearly you're right, it's my settings but I have no idea where I can have gone wrong..

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Zip up a small gallery -- not more than 5 images, please -- and you can email it to me.

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Oops!

Sorry people, this was my error. I used an apostrophe in my album title and this has messed with the code. A stupid mistake..

With a new album title using legal characters the published password protected gallery works perfectly. It's one to watch out for.

Thanks to Matthew for the help.

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Where exactly was this "bad title" input?

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Bad title was entered under "Album Title" in Album Info in the Color Palette section. I wrote "Ailin's Wedding" - the site worked fine until I password protected it, at which point it failed. Changing the title to "Ailin Wedding" fixed the issue.

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Wow, you fixed it!  From changelog for v6.0.1 ( 2014-07-29 ) "Apostrophes should no longer break Album Titles."

How amazingly fantastic are you guys? Thanks TTG, this is truly wonderful

Re: Bug? Cannot set different credentials for admin/guest access

Thanks. Glad to help, and we certainly want our plugins to be as close to error-free as we can get them.
