I get this when checking authentication or trying to publish now or any other operation the xxxx above depends on the operation I try.I can login to the backlight directories.
Any ideas on what to try?
I've reinstalled publisher, Backlight2 is up to date

And you're using the latest Publisher plug-in available for download on your Backlight Modules page?

Ben
downloading and installing the latest publisher solved the problem.
Thanks,
:-)
Is there a quick way to determine the LR publisher version?

Ooooh, I ran into this problem today as well.
Glad to see it was resolved by downloading TTG-Publisher.lrplugin version 4.0.6
Ben- I think it was your awesome suggestion to use a service like Wachete to get notifications of new BL2 modules, but at any instance of /backlight/admin/list_modules/ one has to kind of "guess" if the plugin itself needs to be updated.
Any suggestion on how to know when to update the TTG-Publisher.lrplugin itself?
Is it safe to assume that whenever the other modules need updating, then so does the TTG-Publisher.lrplugin?

Until/if Ben can add a notification in the Backlight Modules page, you can always consult the Changelog (from the Backlight Modules page) and/or the blog post announcing the updates. Ben always notes if there's an update for Publisher in those.

Backlight doesn't know which version of the LR Plugin you have installed, so there isn't a straightforward way of determining whether it needs updating.
Updates to the LR Publisher are few and far between and to-date have not been required. We make a note of new versions in our blog posts and in the change log.
In this case, there isn't a real dependency between the LR Publisher 2.0.6 and the latest Backlight update. This error arose because of a bug in Backlight that tried to log a variable that wasn't there if you were using the older LR Publisher. I've since applied a silent update to module-publisher that addresses this.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the explanation.
