Checked all the settings Rod, couldn't find anything so uploaded Pages708 version and it works fine.
Looks like I'll have to start over
But the blog, home page stage and gallery templates all work! Dammit, what is going on?
OK, but why Rod?
They all get exported and updated at the same time! If it's on the home page and the blog, it should be on the galleries and the contact! I'm obviously missing something.....
Evening Gents,
Can anyone shed any light on why my Nav does not pull in the Google Fonts only on the Contact (me) page?
All the others work fine, it worked in 708. Confused!
WooHoo
Thank you Mark, very pleased that you like it
Excellent,
Glad you got it sorted
Hi,
My home page is built using stage as far as I know, does not have any issues on Mobile.
See Matt's tutorial here http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … _home_page
Well done Tom, glad you got it sorted. You'll be doing Navigation next!
Hi Mark,
I used Auto Index and Stage for these http://www.kopstone.co.uk/about/index.php.
Simple, but much easier to maintain individually.
Almost exactly!
Or coding under the influence Rod
Very Nice Daniel!
I really like the vertical nav and the space it seems to free up and it works well with the breadcrumbs. I'd like to see your images for a bit longer though, they're very good Daniel.
Nice to see the spirit of experimentation on-line is not dead, nice name - it might stick
Nice!
Hey Tom,
That cookie page of mine is done in Stage. I just chose not to have a top level menu item to read Cookies, but put it in the footer. Just as Rod says, add the link to your menu and point it at your Stage Page!
So, after much reading and cogitation, I decided to hug the middle ground. I did not want any pop-ups and did not want to mess with my nav, so I've kept the 'cookies' link at the bottom of my page. This now points to a page in CE4 Stage http://jonevans.photography/cookies. This is not as far as the ICO wants, but it does allow visitors to get information and if they want, find out how to change their browser settings.
Please feel free to comment, copy or erstwhile use any of this for your own site.
Okey Dokey Matt, will try again later when I get back home.
Hi Guys,
Downloaded and installed the Gallery 604a this morning. Unfortunately the Gallery is not seen in Lightroom (5.5). Replaced with original Gallery 604 and Lightroom sees it OK. Never had this problem before, anyone else have this issue?
Doh!
Looks like the cookie statement link that I have been using has changed (Thanks Tom!) I was only seeing it because the site was cached in my browsers. Because I don't use Firefox or IE, I didn't realise that the link had broken.... But, now I have something else to fix
Hi Tom,
This link works perfectly fine in Chrome and Safari, but now I have checked, not in Firefox or IE. The link is there because of cookie law and I was one of the first to implement it in CE3 using this link. Now I have to find out why the link is not working, so thank for the pointer.
Thanks Daniel,
I'm on the Mobile case. Malbec works to a point, then things just get messy
Found the problem, I'd failed to have a Subheading in my Home Page publisher gallery which meant that the H2 heading which holds the nav background image when using the collapsed menu on Mobile.
All better now though......
Excellent - Beer O'Clock!
Hi Kris,
Thanks for the heads up. The mobile stuff is what I'm working on now, as I said, still a few tweaks to do.
Hi Guys,
So I've just put my new, stripped back CE4 site on-line at http://jonevans.photography
It's a bit of a departure from my last site and I hope I've not plagiarised too many other sites to get here.
I have used CE4 Pages with a Publisher managed Home Page (thanks a million for this one Matt). Split Page Content for contact and bio. Google Fonts for Menu Items and Content. Galleries are Publisher Managed and I have CE4 Wordpress Theme for the Blog. I still have a few tweaks to do, can't wait for the CRG and Masonic Layout for the Gallery.
Hope you all like it, I know I've been a bit quiet recently, but now you know why
Much Malbec consumed Rod!
