No you should just need to change the site root in the settings. instead of http://mysite.com it should be https://mysite.com
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … page_setup
Make sure the site root is https:
Looking at the source it looks like your site root is still http:// and not https://
No, that shouldn't be necessary. I know folks have done it with their CE4 sites, I just don't have one of my own to play with. What is your site URL?
There is a general how to on Google fonts here: https://developers.google.com/fonts/doc … ng_started
CE4 Gallery > Output Settings > Shopping Cart Integration: Cart URL
If you look at your page source you might see where it is referencing http assets, you cannot include them in an https page. I converted my site to https but it is a Backlight site so I don't have my CE4 site any more to look at.
You have to change cart too if you use that.
I keep my Lightroom folder with the catalog and plugins, etc, on Dropbox so I can access the same catalog from different computers. Doesn't allow me to share the source images but I can see the image previews from all.
I like Lightroom and haven't seen anything that offers the range of features it has. The only way I'd drop it is if they went cloud only and discontinued the classic version.
Lightroom Classic is the old Lightroom CC and still supports plugins. Lightroom CC is now cloud only.
I can confirm that Backlight is child theme friendly, I am a wordpress idiot and even I could easily implement a child theme on my site. ;-)
You probably know more than I do; all I know is that your 'galleries' directory and 'backlight' directory need to be at the same level and directly off the 'root' of your domain or subdomain. Beyond that I'm out of ideas.
Have you tried pointing your subdomain to http://www.simonjameswilliams.co.uk/events/galleries/?
Your galleries link is pointing to http://events.simonjameswilliams.co.uk/ … galleries/ so I expect your site URL in backlight is pointing to the wrong place, it should be pointing at your subdomain.
Edit to add: your site URL should be http://events.simonjameswilliams.co.uk
Nicely done.
You might take a look at smart albums. I don't have a lot of experience with them but you can define rules on what is included and any photo that meets the criteria will be in the album. You could then use metadata contents, for example, to automate inclusion or exclusion in your galleries.
I believe the 'metadata' used by BL is stored in the BL database, which is why you need to re upload files if you want different metadata items to be displayed. BL doesn't read it directly from the photos themselves.
The Lightroom publisher uses the Backlight template to determine sizes.
The online image sizes and quality are specified by you in your album templates under Image Renditions.
Cool, I had forgotten about manually creating the thumbnails.
Mine had a very simple slideshow on the home page. You can also use theater for YouTube, Vimeo and html5 video.
I don't think random works for album sets, you have to select an image.
I forgot to mention you will need the theater addon to create the slide show template.
When you edit your album set in LR you can select a cover image under Base Settings and that will be your thumbnail.
Create an album of the images you want, make it hidden and upload it. Then create a home page using a template and under backlight > designer >pages you can insert the album in your home page.
