I have the Wordpress theme, publisher etc.for my site pictures.theomolenaar.nl
Sofar I did not do much with wordpress. And I thiink publisher and the gallery work just fine. Althuigh it costed me an enormous amount of time to master it.
But I want to integrate the galleries with my personal site (no subdomain). Focus is shifting from the albums to travel blogging and reporting on various sites. To satisfy followers and to have sort of a travel writers resume I want to 'index' my artices from my site.
I can migrate the galleries and the site and start doing this. However the Wordpress theme is way to simple. Since there are a lot of articles I would love to have a masonry layout of the blogs.
I am considering Photocrati with the NExtGen galleries as an alternative The Blog's look like what I want and the galleries seem have the same possibilities as the TTG galeries. But apart from Publisher and the templates I can change. And I'll have to do every album again.
Als I am afraid there wont be any more development in CE4.
Has anybody iimplemented a masnry layout on the blog page?
I took some tinkering and help by Rod, who I own much thanks. But I upgraded my rather dull site with travel pictures to something more modern. Next phase will be including blogs and projects in new directories. For now it is mainly about destinations. The Asia=> China => tibetan china album sets reall show the versatility of the plugins.
I have seen that. Ik can start as many autoindex folders with different layouts etc as I want. And I can write wordpress pages. But I did not read that I can mix them either a blog in a autoindex folder or publish an album between blogposts.
I could however make a short blogpost with a link to a new album disguised as 'read more'...

For the wordpress theme I never really looked beyond what was needed for wordpress. But offcourse I can set settings there. It's a bit of a pity, that I cannot influence it per page (sort of with parameters for the shortcode) but I get why. And that I can use stage as a template in Publisher is something I did not know. That is really nice.

So I am still thinking of how to integrate the wordpress and the galleries a bit. Would be nice if a blog (page, id) could be in a Stage template. But I actually can make a 'blog' in Markdown and publish an empty or nearempty album. I am thinking of the best way to do pictures. I have already found an export tool for Lightroom that exports to a specific directory/library. If it opens the link then I can paste it easily..

That plugin is what I need. I really have to go into plugins aq bit. I hardly knew teh existed since I have always used themes with a lot of functionality (like the hiding). Or writen for sites where others took care of the 'details' This theme is rather 'bare' so i guess I'll have to look into plugins...

That is a wordpress page. Your first link shows how to use galleria in a staging page. I know how that works. I have implemented Galleria a few times and it was like that, with sliders and numbers.
The second one is how to implement Galleria with HTML code. I implemented it as is in the Theme for Wordpress documentation.

That translates it into html I guess. What I miss is how to influence that. I do not want to set it in the custom-css since then it would be site-wide and I might do different ones (I bought staging)... (but with staging I'll lose all advantages of publisher I realised since),
I embedded a galleria slideshow on this page, However it does not autostart. Also is is a size different from the pictures and I do not seem to be able to size it. I could not find documentation of all the things you can influence in a galleria Slideshow embedded in the wordpress theme...
When I create a static page in the wordpress thema the pagename is displayed as a header. I can uderstand that for posts, but not for static pages. It also is not like the behaviour of other themes I hav worked with.,
I tried to find how to remove rthis, but could not find it in the settings....
"Solved". I checked again and first noticed that the page that dispayed the source had the favicon. Second the favicon of the site changed from the square black square to a white rectangle (I believe some default), On another refresh it changed into the correct favicon. My guess is a cache issue....
After the 'important stuff' is done I am looking into the homepage. Had to change some database records on moving the subdomain, but the clean version is OK now. However it expects the facvicon in the theme page.

The favicon does not produce an error anymore. You can access it through

I did not think of looking in the template. Clever. But somehow the album seems to look in the template and not in in the place that is specified. The album set might look in the root... Since I put it there to...
Yes it looks that way.
However I did provide the adresses (see second link). And exported the template. But I thought I had the favicon there.. I put it in. The result is the same. The code is not looking where I specified the icon would be..

They are not found however (the same thing works well in autoindex), It looks like it is still searching the icons in the default adress.... This is what I get if I look at the page code:

I changed the forwarding. test==> pictures_Ce4 to pictures ==> pictures_CE4 on my server
And changed the api url from test.theomolenaar tot pictures.theomolenaar
Did not mark the albums for republish. No problem whatsoever. After that I could change the albums. So no problem at all.

1.5 should sort of fit the index thumbnails to, so i'll try that.
I may have found another workaround. Because I rename files in the export put the title field in it, then changed the title field if there were illegal characters in it I noticed that the old files remain on the server and appear in the list. Maybe that is sort of an error in publisher, but I could export a high res version of the thumbnail (Square) and image (LS) in thumbnail and Photo directory. Does not have to be the same picture even I guess Just the same name. Or am I wrong/doing something illegal/taking chances. ??
In my opinion these are workarounds. My thumbnails are already 368 times 552 since I use masonry layout. So I wonder if twice as big won't impact performance. And the iconic layout for the indices is very nice on mobile I must say.
Nicest would be if you could appoint a social media image separately. But that is not the case, So I guess I have to stretch the thumbnails until the smaller dimension equals the index layout. And find (or crop) a landscape image that has a usefull square crop in the center.
ps Most wordpress theme have sort of the same thing with the featured image so I have seen the problem before,
So this problem is not solved. It is solved for the album sets. But not for the albums.
If you have iconic layouts the nicest way to make thumbnails for the index is to make custom square thumbnails and put them in the custom thumbnails directory. I got that from the documentation and it works very nicely. However that leads to the incorrect OGP information Matt mentioned.
If you select a specific image as Matt says it is used for both Facebook and as thumbnail. However I am under the impression that the thumbnail is a blow up of the thumbnail-file. Also the ratio of th FB image is not square. So selecting a square image leads to a rather bad FB layout... And otherwise a crop from a landscape image does not always looks good as iconic thumbnail.

But is still means duplicates. The gallery sets the in a different directory for one (with the template). And I then have to implement. And how am I going to implement the different images for the different screen sizes then. Because they have to replace the identyplate. In fact these two issues (screensize and album headers) seem to come together in one package nicely.
However it is good thing to know how to implement separate css files. Is there any description of where the css file(s) reside in TTG CE4? When I do a search I find dozens of them.
If I replace the 'return true' with a copy of the code above it that changes the header (But then filled with a Literal) I think I got what I need. Or am I wrong.

Maybe. But that would complicate things a little and introduce duplicates.
I'll first try including code for the other pages in the phplugin. Basically that is only one type, the wordpress page. And the top level index (my destinations page at the moment, but there will be more). Because that one is not made by publisher and .ALBUMTITLE. is not filled. So I only have to fill this field conditionally. Or fill profile labels with something else.

I can also manipulate where the text starts. Going to make the original image a bit less wide and 1 or two others manipulate letter size and alignment in a few steps.
But it took me most of a day to figure it all out...

looks like your original identity plate image is still showing. That would be because the html for the image is still there.
Yes, I know. That is not a problem (yet). Only on the homepage and the galleries (that I wil not use). The home page is a Wordpress page. So also a different template. It is the not in the phlugins code either. Strange that is is the small version.
I am concentrating on the albums in the destinations. The rest will (I hope) be copy...
Only with a smaller image the text stays on the same place... So it does not really help...

I had noticed the error (changed it in the post, was trying variants). Yours I did not try..
When I tried it it did not work. Plus the height no longer came from the custom CSS. But when I removed the #masthead #profile-icon i put in front it worked !!
Only multiple times, but í'll have to set the width I guess this image is smaller..

Apart from not heaving clearfix afeter profile-icon and the href that was what I had. I modified it. But it still does not work

I can see this is invoked. Only to get the profile-icon filled in the custom css does not work. I can see the height is taken from the custom-Css, so it is recognized. But not the image (path is correct, i could see when i changed it into bg-image)
If I can get an image in the profile icon the rest looks quite logical if I look at Matts explanation.

If I look at Matts code there is a .logo that is set.

So I removed the lines and tried to replace .profile-icon like matt did:

That does not work. If I do not replace ,profile-icon but profile-image the test image appears, only as background and repeated...
It also does not work if I leave out 'background-image'.. So there is something different in profile-icon as compared to profile image. Icon is the part left where te image should be. I tried to find it with the inspect element feature of Chrome, but did not come up with something.
