NOW things are clearing for me! Thank you Michael!!!
Thank you so much!!!
Can I change the color scheme in the slideshow in Client Feedback Module to reflect the colours in the rest of the site?
I don´t see any option that makes it possible to change color and text on the gallery help button?
Now that I have created a swedish localisation - how do I make it active?
How do I make the file names visible in the grid and in the slideshow in Client Response galleries?
How do I change the text, color and positioning of the gallery help button?
Question: is it possible to assign an album to an already existing user from within LR?
Thank you!
1. How do I change the text "Albums assigned to you" that is on the first page when they log in?
2. How do I change the layout on that first page? Now it has single column rows with every other line with a grey background.
Appreciate your advice!
Thanks!
Thanks, Michael!
Gary, I've redacted your telephone number for privacy, now that you guys have connected.
Mikkel, I've looked at your emails, and what you've described sounds pretty simple to me. The Pages Add-on should not be necessary. To outline your setup in basic terms:
1.
Install Backlight and Client Response Add-on in your webspace.
Install the Publisher plugin in Lightroom.2.
Instead of using the default name of "galleries" for your publishing destination, you can name the folder "kunder" if you'd like. For logging in, though, you should send your customers to http://www.hjaerta.se/backlight/client-response/.3.
Design your page and album templates. In the Add-ons section of the album template, enable the client response add-on features.4.
In Backlight's admin menu, go to Client Response => Settings, and run through each of the pages there to configure your settings, profiles, language preferences, etc.5.
Go to Lightroom. Create an album in Publish Services. In the album settings window, click the Integration tab:
Set Client Management as "Managed by Client Response Admin".
Enable feedback, and select a feedback profile to use (you should have created at least one profile in step 4, above).6.
Once you have an album or albums online, return to Backlight, in the menu go Client Response => Clients. Create a client account, assign albums, etc.You can then send the login to your client and allow them to work with the galleries.
If you need technical assistance any with the steps above, try to ask specific questions about where you're getting stuck.
I don´t question the effort, not the least. But it takes something else to write skilfully about your skills...
How do I assign a thumbnail image for an album?
How do I reopen an album for feedback once it is closed for feedback?
I think this is due to the structure of the documentation. There is so much that is just superficially explained. Above all I think the relationship between the concepts is really poorly described. I´ve always felt like this with The Turning Gate. There is just too much bad communication. The newsletters gave me a headache!
I´ve now spent 16 hours nonstop on this. I´m getting a little closer, entirely by experimenting.
Perhaps it is a language matter.
I also have trouble understanding even basic information when I concentrate hard on a subject.
Do You speak and understand german?Be assured. Client Response Module is made exactly for what You want to achieve. :-)
I REALLY REALLY appreciate your help and time!!!
What you want to do is possible. Except for this:
The index consists
of thumbnails, job name and a short description. The index will have thumbnails and the album title only. No description. This may be something that Matt and Ben can add though.
If I get some time later today or tomorrow I'll try writing up a more detailed step by step and post it on my ttg-tips site. If I have even more time, I might even make a video...
Just remember, everything in Backlight relies on page templates (the top group of templates on the Templates page). These control the overall look of subsequent pages, albums and album sets.
When you create an album template, the first thing is to assign it a page template.Once you have album and album set templates created they will be available in Lightroom to assign to albums and album sets. This is just like previous versions of TTG CEx Publisher.
If you haven't seen it, this document outlines the client management and other options in Client Response:

Thank you Rod!
I will read through that. I just had a 40 minutes overseas mobile telephone call with one of the dear forum users. I´m probably more confused now than before?
I´ve tried to explain what we want to do in a pdf. It´s here:
http://mikkel.se/FILER/Backlight.pdf
It seems so simple, but everything I do comes out wrong. I just don´t understand anything?
I would but I'm kind of pressed for time today. But take a look here and see if this helps at all:

So, we tried that - 40 minutes long distance call - and I still feel I´ve wasted someones time. Gary was a real sport for trying, but I just as confused now...
"can´t tak call now"?
I think I´m calling you now?
My Teamviewer ID is 782032284
Yes, I´m on now!
Would you be willing to hook up on Teamviewer now?
I would so appreciate it!!!! I have time now!
Do you use Teamviewer?
I just feel so miserable, having spend a whole day accomplishing absolutely nothing while trying to understand Backlight. If anything I´m more confused now than I was before starting.
The documentation is so weird. It throws you back and forth between concepts you have absolutely no idea what are, and I just dont see the structure. I just don´t. I usually don´t have a problem with things like this.
Are there any users who would be willing to spend 60 minutes with me logged on to Teamviewer and explain things to me, and answering questions along the way? I would pay 100 dollars for 60 minutes of ground laying support!
Would you consider logging on to Teamviewer with me and allow me to ask questions. I´d be happy to pay you 100 dollars for one hour!
I just dont under stand the correlation between all these things???
