Will you allow me to put your logo to go with your link on my home page? And if so, where can I get it, please?
Ben
Thank you very much.
The amount of time that you, and the others, put into solving our problems must seem out of all proportion to the rewards you get. Please be aware that we all fully appreciate the tremendous effort you all put in.
WRT passwords, again, I have not knowingly set it up for them.
Ben, not knowingly.
e-mail sent as requested.
Thanks once again for giving up your valuable time.
Yes, that's what I thought I'd updated days ago.
6.1.2 is working fine and dandy.
However, searching, or lack of it, is still as in my original post above.
I'll now plough through the link you posted.
Just to emphasise though, there is no error message, just a blank, white page.
That's what I'd done before I started altering things today.
However, done it again.
Lo & behold!
Goodness knows what I didn't do!
Thanks Rod.
I thought I'd already done that but, to be on the safe side, I've just repeated the process. Still showing 6.0.5.
Please tell me what I've done wrong:
1. Replaced both galleryInfo.lrweb & manifest.lrweb in CE4-Gallery.lrwebengine;
2. Restarted LR;
3. Still showing 6.0.5, but saved my template again;
4. Restarted LR;
Still showing 6.0.5.
I even tried replacing the whole of CE4-Gallery.lrwebengine at one stage.
There really should be a 'TTG For Dummies'!!!
I'm quite sure I've followed all the instructions and read all the search topics in the forum, but I still have a challenge getting search to work.
When I click on 'search', the search page appears. I input the criteria and things seem to be happening. The output is a totally blank page, ie all white!
I'm using the latest CE4. The 'search' folder is in the top level. I've changed from '/search/index.php' to '/search/'. I've transferred the search folder to the server.
eg on:
http://galleries.photolens.co.uk/Photo_ … /index.php
clicking on 'search', it goes to:
http://galleries.photolens.co.uk/search/
search for 'Castle' seems to get stuck, but eventually opens:
http://galleries.photolens.co.uk/search/?q=Castle
Any help will be, as usual, gratefully received.
DOH!!!!
Cheers Rod.
Page Content:
'Page Copy': Huddersfield Giants Past Players Association Master Match v Boothtown, 2014.
I've already done that, surely.
I want the title on the page which appears when someone loads the page on the internet. ie when you click on the link above, the title is shown on that page.
Base Settings:
'Album Title': Fartown_v_Boothtown_2014;
'Album Description': Fartown v Boothtown 2014;
'Slug': Fartown_v_Boothtown_2014;
Page Content:
'Page Copy': Huddersfield Giants Past Players Association Master Match v Boothtown, 2014.
[I don't need to learn html, I already use it.]
Thanks for the replies guys.
I'm quite OK with code. The question is, which page does it go on? I've looked through most, if not all, the php and xml pages and I cannot see where to add the code!
How is a title added so that it shows in the published gallery?
I created an album in CE4 Publisher, named the album, titled the album, even put in an album description. I chose a template. Yet on the published page:
http://galleries.photolens.co.uk/Photo_ … town_2014/
no heading/title for the photos is shown.
Does this mean that every set of photos to be published has to have its own template?
Thanks Rod.
I republished [using Publisher] an album of 77 photos at 70 jpg quality, 1024/194, sharpen standard and it took 31 minutes [mostly Canon 5D CR2 photos]. It took 3 hours to publish 100 the other day, though I now suspect that the quality was 85.
I'm dreading publishing a gallery of 330, but here is the progression:
So far, 144 uploaded in 3 hours 30 mins!
[Can't remember my supposed upload speed, but Virgin say my download speed should be 50 MB.]
2 hours later and up to 248.
275 uploaded and the process stalled . After how much time I do not know as I went out leaving it to proceed alone!
I tried 'Exporting' a 77 photo album. This took 30 minutes to prepare then seconds to upload via ftp.
Uploading via CE3 was fine.
This is the link to one of the albums:
http://galleries.photolens.co.uk/Photo_ … /index.php
I changed the template assigned to an album from allowing downloads to not allowing them. Iset the album to be re-published, which I have done. However, the site still allows photos to be downloaded.
Any suggestions, please?
With another album, I deleted and added some photos. When I published and re-published, the deleted photos were still on the site [yes, I did refresh the page even though the new photos were showing]. I deleted the album from the server and published it from scratch. What should I have done, please?
The end product is superb. Getting there is somewhat of a time-consuming pain!
[By the way - and excuse my ignorance - but what are 'breadcrumbs', please?]

So there's no point installing CE4 yet then!
your CE3 galleries will still work with CE3 cart and there's a tool for moving publisher managed albums from CE3 Publisher control to CE4 Publisher control when you're ready.
You could get started now on CE4 design and probably be all ready to go when the cart is release (soon, I hear)
Thanks for the considered response.
Also, that last message doesn't sound good. It means the hard drive is full. That's something you'll need to take up with your host's technical support.
Thanks, I'll check with them.
No idea what you're on about, Dave. We haven't released CE4 Cart yet.
If you're trying to install CE3 Cart into a CE4 website, then you're wasting your time.
So there's no point installing CE4 yet then!
Created cart_data on same level as cart within ttg-be and now get:
"copy(../cart_data/index.html): failed to open stream: No space left on device|#0 [internal function]: ErrorHandler::handleError(2, 'copy(../cart_da...', '/vhost/vhost14/...', 658, Array) #1 /vhost/vhost14/p/h/o/photolens.co.uk/galleries/ttg-be/cart/application/helpers/CartHelper.php(658): copy('application/ske...', '../cart_data/in...') #2 /vhost/vhost14/p/h/o/photolens.co.uk/galleries/ttg-be/cart/application/helpers/CartHelper.php(673): CartHelper::copyFileIfNeeded('../cart_data', 'index.html') #3 /vhost/vhost14/p/h/o/photolens.co.uk/galleries/ttg-be/cart/application/init.php(33): CartHelper::checkSetup() #4 /vhost/vhost14/p/h/o/photolens.co.uk/galleries/ttg-be/cart/framework/init.php(88): include_once('/vhost/vhost14/...') #5 /vhost/vhost14/p/h/o/photolens.co.uk/galleries/ttg-be/cart/index.php(21): require_once('/vhost/vhost14/...') #6 {main}|URL: /ttg-be/cart/index.php"
Trying to install the cart.
Got to the stage:
"Login to the TTG-BE admin, then navigate to the Cart admin via the Dashboard menu.
"Under the Settings menu, select Cart Settings. Here you may configure various aspects of CE4 Cart, the first of which should be: under Personalization, please select a gallery template for use."
All I get is:
"Create the directory ../cart_data and set the permissions to 755 or 777, then refresh page to continue."
I've checked and double checked, I've made sure everything is copied across, so I think this time I really do need your help! Please.
[All folders have permissions set to 755 then 777 then back to 755.]
[It worked under CE3.]
Because I was using the browser minimised, the menu was not visible - as demonstrated on the video explaining Work Space.
Sorry to take up so much space, but if it helps others...
