Hi Xevi, I'm trying to have a look at this, but the album is no longer there. Is there an album I can look at to see the problem?
Do you by chance have multiple images in the published collection with the same filename?
Thanks Xevi. I'll have a look in the next couple of days.
Hi Alfred, can you provide me with FTP access and a Backlight adminlgin via email? I’ll then put in the same fix for you.
I have come up with a workaround on Hosteurope that looks promising. Michael and Alfred, are you still facing issues with this? If so I'll work with you to try the workaround.
If this was an upgrade from Backlight 1, have you tried the password used previously?
As you've found, Backlight isn't able to send password reset emails before it's finished being installed. The link that would have been sent to your email is logged on the server, so can be found in the most recent file under backlight/data/admin/logs/. For example, after using the Forgotten Your Password function, my test environment, the contents of the file 20181015.txt reads:
[15-Oct-2018 10:45:17] TRACE: To reset your password, visit the following link: http://backlight2.local/backlight/admin/reset/d92bfffa7e715377c79bee47f9a4631ae4923342/
Copy and paste the URL from that file into your browser.
Only that I've had a cursory look into it and discovered there are a few changes that will need to be made. As we do not officially support Nginx, our priority is on fixing other issues first.
Hi Xevi, can you provide me with a Backlight admin login via email so that I can look into this?
It looks like corresponding index.php and .htaccess files are still not correct, as Daniel outlined: http://community.theturninggate.net/vie … 257#p55257
As Rod asked, can you provide me with FTP access and a Backlight Admin login via email so that I can look into this?
Thanks for raising this. I've added it on my to-do list to look into
Thanks to Rod for providing a working example that I could look at. We have a fix for this that will be in the next maintenance release in coming days.
I've added the breadcrumb back to the parent album and then another un-clickable breadcrumb for the photo title itself. This had been lost between the Okapi and Pangolin modules. The fix will be in the next maintenance update in the coming few days.
I've had a try at replicating this issue, with no luck. Can you email me a Backlight admin login, and provide me with FTP access so that I can try and work out what's going wrong with the thumbnails?
Hi Jon, this is due to a failure in the update process from a BL 1 version that hasn't been updated some time between 1.1.1 and 1.2 (23 and 15 months ago). I'll need a full admin account and probably FTP access in order to create a work-around.
Hi Oliver, this is something that came up recently. To solve this you'll need to download the latest Backlight Installer zip and re-upload the single file backlight/.htaccess.
Thanks. I've updated your modules to the latest versions (via the Backlight > Backlight Modules) page, and that 'unavailable' error is no longer appearing.
Can you provide me with a Backlight admin login via email so I can look into this?
Thanks for raising this. I've found the problem and fixed it. It is related to the path coming back from PayPal.
If you update to Cart 5.0.3 (via the Backlight > Backlight Modules page) then this should be fixed.
That's great, but I would still like to know: what version of PHP are you running?
See my reply here: http://community.theturninggate.net/vie … 067#p55067
Hi Sam, I've applied a silent update to address this. To fix this:
1. Log into Backlight
2. Visit Backlight > Backlight Modules
3. On the entry for module-publisher, click Reinstall
4. Click the Reinstall button to confirm
I'm not sure why this error has appeared now. What version of PHP is your site running? This can be found by visiting the View PHP Info link on the main Backlight admin page.
No worries. It's not at all obvious, I'm afraid. There's room for improvement in the usability of the Publisher section of Backlight.
Thanks. That's an interesting place for all of that stuff.
Publisher related to all things to do with the content of your albums - albums, album sets, photos, and searching for that content.
Look at the first setting called "Parent" under your Album's Base Settings Section. This lets you move albums around.
Hi Sam, I can see where the problem may be. Can you provide me with a Backlight admin login via email so that I can look into it?
