Thanks, Rod.  Dumb me ... I was looking at access codes and completely missed the obvious.

You are a lifesaver!

I have created an album, now deleted, because I do not want others to be able to see its existence in my Album Set. I want to privately send a few people the slug for the album, so that they can enjoy it, but it is not for the general public.

I am using Galleria for my albums.

Alas, I could not find this information under Search, although I believe it is there somewhere.

Many thanks to any who can help.

Take care,

As always, thanks, Rod!

The My Cart icon shows only on albums--
I'll make a note on the thumbnails page for clarification

disable the Invoiced Checkout option--
Thanks!  Is there any advantage to having that feature?  I assume there are cases, since it is an option.

Again, thanks!!!

And how do I do that cute little quoting part of a message feature here in the forum?

Take care,

CART ICONS
I have my cart set up at https://www.BC-FineArtPhotography.com/g … al-prints/, and for the thumbnails, once you click on one of the galleries, it looks great.  The cart logo shows up on the thumbnails, and the cart in the upper right shows the number of items in it.

But, when you go to the larger image, yes, there is a cart in the upper right of the page, but there is no "my cart" icon that shows the number of items ordered.  There must be a way to add one.

CONTINUE BROWSING
Because we have several galleries in our archival prints section, I would like the "Continue browsing" feature to point to the parent, Archival Prints gallery set at https://www.BC-FineArtPhotography.com/g … al-prints/, not the previous gallery the client had been browsing. How do I do that?

CHECK OUT
Is there any real reason to have anything other than the PayPal check out button?  Right now, I also have a "Proceed to Checkout" that seems redundant.

Those three questions should get me to the next step ...

Thank you, I hope,

Thanks, Daniel.  It turned out to be an issue of Galleries pointing to a page rather than to a gallery set.  All is now well.

This may be an issue for Ben to address ...

I am flummoxed ...

I have tried posting a gallery through Publisher to our website at https://www.BCphotoadventures.com/ and while it shows up when I type the url https://www.BCphotoadventures.com/galle … i-winners/ under Publisher in Backlight 2, it does not show up in the menu when I hover over "Galleries".

What does show up there, but nowhere else, is the old, non-functioning "Student Winners" that exists nowhere else.

Again, I am totally flummoxed.

I have done the following through BL2:

Clear Template Cache
Update Backlight Index Filles
Update Album Files.

I want to send out an overdue newsletter, but I cannot do so until I get this behaving.

Many thanks, I hope, I hope, I hope...

#32 Re: Backlight 2 Support » "Reverse Engineering" for Publisher & Backlight2 » 2019-05-29 09:03:09

Yes, same catalog for sure.  I only have one and have always had only one.  It doesn't behave like a corrupted catalog.  I could uninstall LR and reinstall it, but I am not sure I think that would make a difference ...

Hmmm!

Over a month ago, my Publisher was not working, and I ended up deleting it, then reinstalling it.  Alas, all my albums are gone, although they are on our websites.  I am hoping that Matt or Ben has a solution to get that information back with "reverse engineering." After all, logic tells me, if Publisher knows what needs to be changed in Backlight2 galleries, I  might be able to get that information back.  Otherwise, and this may be the case, I have to begin again with 41 galleries on one website and 29 on the other, not a wonderful prospect!

Take care, and wish me luck,

There is, indeed, such a feature with WordPress, and I use that regularly.

Maybe this is something that Matt and crew might consider.

Thanks for the quick response!

This feature is also excellent to ferret out old files no longer in use that could then be deleted.

I have searched in vain for a Search and Replace feature for Backlight2.  I am sure there is one, but I have come up short.

Many of us have websites with multiple pages, and often, we have a link on several pages, but we may not remember which ones. I just updated a few of our blogs, and the titles, that include the publish date, have changed (on purpose by me).  I want to make sure I am not missing any other such links.

Any help would be much appreciated. When I was doing my website through Dreamweaver, there was a Search and Replace that would scour the whole website for this or that.

Take care, and thanks, I hope ...

Thanks Rod.  Definitely dumb me.  I didn't think to open the folder under presentation.  Got caught up in what was obvious.

Onward with much appreciation.

I have been using Theater for our workshop banners for some time now, but I set them up for single images.  I would now like to invoke the Vegas Slideshow option, and in spite of searching, I cannot find where/how to update my existing Theater template to invoke that feature.

Sorry to be so dumb or so blind.  All help gratefully accepted!

Not worried about the workshop site right now, as it is functional.

The https://www.BC-FineArtPhotography.com site

Meanwhile, is there a "scrubber" that works with Backlight2?  Without knowing where text.mphplugins may reside, I am at a loss.  I already went through the custom css for the site.

Take care,

Is there some file that might have a residual http instead of https?  If so which ones and location of same.

Thanks, I hope.

Did that, too, and double checked a couple of times.  The versions match in all cases.

More hmmm!

Please remind this ditz of how to update the BL2 version.

Thought I did, Rod.  Actually deleted current plugin and reloaded it, then restarted LR. When I get this sorted out, I'll update to the latest BL2.

Meanwhile, Publisher claims to be version 4.0.

And it still does not work.

I updated the site to BL2, but I should double check on exactly where the new index.php and .htaccess files should go

Within backlight or at the top level of the website directory.

Thanks, as always, Rod,

I am getting a different Can't update this collection message:

     Unable to perform action: uploadRendition

     Message: Unexpected error: Undefinted index:
existingPhotold in PublisherDelegate.php on line 734

The recalcitrant line:
         ErrorHandler::trace('existingPhotoId: '.$parameters['existingPhotoId']);

I hope I have done that correctly!

All other help would be greatly appreciated, since I succeeded in upgrading one of our websites to Backlight2 and am now embarking on the other.

Thanks,

Matt,

Some Publisher glitches getting galleries to post, but with Rod's help, it turned out to be an easy fix. A couple of my non-TTG plugins were misbehaving (Mogrify2 and the Jeffrey Friedl ones), but I beat them into submission).

All is well, and I lvoe the new interface!

Again, kudos!!!
