Backlight2 Cart Logo and Other Questions

CART ICONS
I have my cart set up at https://www.BC-FineArtPhotography.com/g … al-prints/, and for the thumbnails, once you click on one of the galleries, it looks great.  The cart logo shows up on the thumbnails, and the cart in the upper right shows the number of items in it.

But, when you go to the larger image, yes, there is a cart in the upper right of the page, but there is no "my cart" icon that shows the number of items ordered.  There must be a way to add one.

CONTINUE BROWSING
Because we have several galleries in our archival prints section, I would like the "Continue browsing" feature to point to the parent, Archival Prints gallery set at https://www.BC-FineArtPhotography.com/g … al-prints/, not the previous gallery the client had been browsing. How do I do that?

CHECK OUT
Is there any real reason to have anything other than the PayPal check out button?  Right now, I also have a "Proceed to Checkout" that seems redundant.

Those three questions should get me to the next step ...

Thank you, I hope,

Re: Backlight2 Cart Logo and Other Questions

The My Cart icon shows only on albums, album sets, and pages. It does not show on the large images of the album’s slide show presentation.

Continue browsing will always go back to the last album, as far as I know. There may be something to be done with javascript or jQuery that might replace the default code with a link to your preferred album.

If you don’t want/need the Proceed To Checkout, then disable the Invoiced Checkout option in Cart Settings

Re: Backlight2 Cart Logo and Other Questions

As always, thanks, Rod!

The My Cart icon shows only on albums--
I'll make a note on the thumbnails page for clarification

disable the Invoiced Checkout option--
Thanks!  Is there any advantage to having that feature?  I assume there are cases, since it is an option.

Again, thanks!!!

And how do I do that cute little quoting part of a message feature here in the forum?

Take care,

Re: Backlight2 Cart Logo and Other Questions

The invoiced checkout option is for those not wanting to use PayPal. Customers could pay by check or other means.

When a customer has added an item to the cart, each page in the site will the have that View Cart icon at the top of the page (left or right depending on settings in Top Pallet in the Page template). The actual Add-to-Cart shopping cart icon only appears on album thumbnails and large images in cart enabled albums.

To quote, you can either surround text with quote BBCode or, if you want to quote an entire post, click on Quote in the lower right of the post you’re quoting.

Click on the BBCode link below the reply window to get a list of the BBCode options
