Thank you; I did as recommended in http://community.theturninggate.net/vie … p?id=10429
I updated the index files, the album files and cleared the template chache.
This solved the problem. Still uncertain why this occurred in the first instance, as I have not changed anything to the existing and running installation except for adding an album. The main URL was set correctly already before.
For the moment it is running well, I will get back if the problem occurs again. I have the feeling that for some reason the site is now responding much faster than before.
Thanks for helping.
Dear Rod,
If I go to my page https://zoller.me/photo/fotografie/ everything looks fine. If I want to view the images e.g. on "Washington", a broken page appears.
https://zoller.me/photo/fotografie/washington/
When I log in as admin in a new window of the same browser, the page displays as normal, the template must therefore be available and works. When I log out, again, the page is broken and only links to the images appear.
It seems that if logged out the system does not load the style of the page. I cannot rememver having anything changed recently except for uploading a new album.
Another error message shows "Unable to find pageTemplate with ID 1. Try updating the selected template for the application. in EngineFactory.php on line 36" - how can I update the template ?
What is the problem ?
Thanks.
Thanks Rainer, but this is not the problem.
Now, after some time I narrowed down the problem and found a solution - but I think the way this is handled is misleading for any users wanting to use a different page template for different pages.
I wanted a dark background template for the Fotografie page, and a white one for the Galerien page. I changed the template in the page settings from black to white for the Galerien page - but never anything happened.
I figured out that the page template is not only set by setting it in the page settings, but if you have an album set on this page, you also have to modify the page template setting in the album set. Rather, I would expect that the page template sets the overall appearance and the background, and this setting is not overruled by a another page template setting in the album set configuration. To me we have conflicting settings here which can cause a lot of confusion and delay.
To me, this seems not logical and makes little sense to me. Is this really intended, or does it have another meaning ?
My page: zoller.me/photo (as you see both pages as above now have a dark backround, the blog page a white).
I have the problem that I cannot select and apply a template to all pages.
I have erased my entire site and did a fresh install.
I have the default template and created a new dark template. I set the dark template to a newly created page containing an album. Nothing happens. I do it the same way for the page "About". The dark template is applied successfully.
How can I apply the dark template to a page created by myself ?
Thanks.
I have done as instructed. This however does not solve the problem.
Sending credentials to Ben.
The site is at https://zoller.me/photo
I just emailed login credentials for you to have a look at the backend too.
Hello,
I did a smooth installation of BL2, and created a few test albums. Upload works fine, showing the green check symbol at the image, and the green bar below. When I go to the album however, no images are shown.
I tried with many images, image sizes were small <1mb. PhP 7.2. Did not find the solution on the forum.
Any idea ? Thanks.
Featured images appear in full size on the main blog page, but I would like to have them e.g. in thumbnail size. I have the same problem, as previously described in CE3 WP theme http://community.theturninggate.net/top … mage-size/ but using the CE4 WP theme. Does the proposed solution also apply to CE4, and can you a bit more specific on what to change in the code on the site linked to above ?
Thanks a lot.
Have >5 WP instances running on my server for years. First time such a mysql error should occur ? CE3 publisher/autoindex/gallery still running on the same server flawlessly ? PhP 5.4.24 ?
Hard to believe. Didn´t work for me after 3 times installing the site from scratch.
Wasted money for TTG plugins and change to another publishing service now, as I am now giving up and don´t want to spend more time for a futile thing. TTG plugins should be robust enough to run in all typical environments.
I am getting a
phpinfo() has been disabled for security reasons|#0 [internal function]: ErrorHandler::handleError(2, 'phpinfo() has b...', '/home/zollerme/...', 5, Array) #1 ....
see https://zoller.me/photo/galleries/testalbum1/
error after having set up my WP with TTG for WP theme, autoindex, publisher, exactly as in the tutorial. I can see the autodindex page with the overview gallery created by autoindex, working fine. When I click on a gallery to show the CE4 galleries template, however, this error pops up.
Haven´t had this error under ce3 publisher before. Does only CE4 gallery need the phpinfo function to be enabled (which my provider may choose to do or not to do) and all other CE4 plugins don´t need it, or is there another problem in my setup ? For the sake of getting it running, it left the templates virtually unchanged and followed the tutorial.
Actually, I am now getting a different php error. see again the link above. Not sure what the problem is.
Thanks
Hi,
I have a problem using the Wordpress CE4 theme LR plugin. I want to integrate publisher into a WP (v4.1) site and I am following this tutorial (it is for CE3 though; is there a version for CE4 ?): http://ce3wiki.theturninggate.net/doku. … _publisher
Everything is fine until the end of step 7. I see my WP theme on my WP site as it came out of the LR-plugin (for the sake of getting it running, I left it unchanged except for the php plugin activation). Perfect. I then make the two suggested links to HOME and GALLERIES. Looks fine in the frontend. When I however then click on GALLERIES, the new page with the auto index comes up, however with a text-only-style menu containing the two links, but not the original WP graphical menu. Interestingly, when I then go back to my main page inside WP, the WP start page is displayed, but now with the same menu problem (only text links). It stays like this even when replacing the theme; only completely erasing and setting up the new WP installation removes that problem.
See here: http://zoller.me/photo (this should be the original template design as per default style). I repeated the above twice with the same problem resulting. I thought php-plugins would influence the new „galleries“ page only by „pulling“ the WP menu. However, it seems to „push“ that error even back to WP.
Any idea what happens here ?
Mainly for performance, stability and security reasons, I am currently in a process to move my entire IT infrastructure from Windows to Linux and to open software in general. Adobe Lightroom is actually the ONLY reason left for keeping a Windows partition on my harddisk. Looking at Lightrooms equally powerful counterpart Darktable I wonder if you have considered using your excellent web publishing technology to make it available in an open-source environment, e.g. by developing plugins for Darktable (in fact, I would use Darktable instead of LR already if there were TTG plugins available).
I am very certain that this would meet the needs of many professional and semi-professional users who also would like to work on stable and high-performing platforms (for performance reasons, virtualization of Lightroom under Linux is therefore not an option for me).
As far as I know there is no Lightroom version for Linux planned and Adobe seems to be reluctant to produce one according to responses given to these questions in their forum.
