I have CE3 with cart and I am considering upgrading to Backlight. It is my understanding that I will have to start from scratch and can't import any settings from CE3. I am trying to determine what improvements I will see if I spend the time creating a new website with Backlight. Your thoughts/comments will be appreciated.
Thanks for the quick response. I didn't recall anything major when I went from LR4 to LR5, but I couldn't recall the timing of my CE3 install in relation to my last major LR upgrades. That's great news.
Rod, Thanks for the response...but one additional question. If I download LR6, will I lose any CE3 templates, etc.? Do I have to reinstall CE3 plugins? How do I move from LR5 to LR6 with minimal disruption to the CE3 things I have setup in LR5?.
What about CE3 and Lightroom 6?
Another question. I noticed this before. My slideshow on my home page works on my iPad but not in Internet Explorer. It loads the first picture in the series but does not change slides even if you click on the arrow. It used to work fine. Any ideas.
Thanks for your prompt response. I realized I was applying the CE2 default settings when I went back to CE2 and not my saved template.
I currently use CE2 Pages. I downloaded CE3 Pages and copied the file into web galleries in Lightroom5. I loaded the web page using CE2 Pages and it looked fine. Then I clicked on CE3 Pages on the right panel to see what it looked like. As expected, it looked different. However, when I clicked back on CE2 again, my settings for CE2 were no longer there. The masthead, slideshow, etc. were gone. How do I get my settings back for CE2 to use until I get a test page wit CE3 set up? Is there a setup file somewhere?
