Hi
I received the following 'Something went wrong' message
Undefined variable: breadcrumbs in Album.php line 315.
I think it occurred after unchecking the breadcrumbs box.
Chris
site... nppsolutions.com
OK... I've found it, uploaded it, and it's working.
Thanks for your help
Chris
i"m using a Mac... how do I view hidden files in Finder?
I ordered Backlight + Pages. I've just done another download, and .htaccess isn't there
It isn't there... I can't see it in the downloaded package either.
Hi Rod
The Page URL format is set to about/. Should there be folders named 'about' and 'contact'?
Chris
Hi
I've just installed Backlight 1.1. After going through the setup page the home page opened ok (at nppsolutions.com), but the default place-filler pages for 'About' and 'Contact' are missing. I have edited the About page in the designer, and can view the edited page in the browse, but it isn't linked from the home page menu.
Have I missed something?
Chris
OK now thanks. Maybe the problem was that I'd relabelled the old folders by extending the filename suffix (CE4-Gallery.lrwebengine-old) ??
I've downloaded the new lrwebengine folders for gallery (6.1.6) and auto-index (7.0.7), and replaced and removed the old files in the Win7 Web Galleries folder. However when I open Lightroom, I still see the old version numbers displayed (6.1.5 and 7.05)
My Gallery template has watermarking selected to display my copyright message. The preview screen shows the watermark on thumbnails and large images, but the watermarks don't appear in the web pages.
Would it improve matters if I marginally reduced my image size to 640 px, so that it could be accommodated 1:1 on the iPhone screen without resizing?
Chris
My site is using the 'touch' option for mobile presentation. The large gallery images look nice and sharp on my iPad 2, but have a distinctly soft appearance when rendered on an iPhone 5. I assume that this can't be due to anything being wrong in my setup?
Hi Rod
The CE4GallMagnific template folder did have missing files (somehow lost during the upload? Lightroom had generated the full set)
The template is now visible in the publisher editor, I've republished the Belgium page with magnific and it works on my iPhone and iPad.
Thanks to you and Ben for your help
Chris
Hi Ben
I modified the .htaccess file on the Belgium site (there isn't a .htaccess in the Burma folder for some reason).
The page works ok with the modified file, so presumably mod-rewrite is enabled on the server.
I have now enabled viewing of hidden files in ftp, and I can see .htaccess files in some of the country folders (yes in Belgium and Cambodia, no in Burma and Canada..). There are no .htaccess files inthe higher level folders.
I'm uploading the gallery templates to ../ttg-be/templates/gallery/
...in that folder I can see folders for CE4-Gallery, CE4GallMagnific, crg-default, cart default.
PS... I'm hosting with 1and1
Following Rod's suggestion I have created and uploaded another gallery template, CE4GallMagnific, but the new template doesn't appear in the drop-down template selector on the publisher edit window (?).
I can't see any .htaccess files in any of the 'country' folders, or in the higher level folders for the home page or sub-index pages.
I've republished the 'Belgium' page, 'push-metadata' is unchecked. Problem persists
The uploaded Gallery template now has plug-ins enabled. No change in mobile viewing.
Rod
It works on the iphone as a stand-alone gallery.

Can you please tell me why my CE4 galleries work correctly on my desktop, but fail to display the images on an iphone or ipad?
www.chrishammondphotography.com
(Could it be connected with the fact that I tried to use PHP plug-ins last week, but gave up and unticked the box?)
Chris
I'm rebuilding my site with CE4 Gallery, Auto-index and Publisher (www.chrishammondphotography.com)
All the pages (from both Gallery and Auto-Index) are displaying their tree location eg "Home>>India>>Kerela"
This doesn't show up on the Lightroom preview screens, and so far I haven't managed to find any reference to this feature anywhere.
How can I turn it off?
There doesn't appear to be a control for justification (left/centre/right) for the Page Copy text in the Content/Description menu. How can I centre this?
Is there no way that you could include the "iconic-captioned" gallery style? Having just spent $85 upgrading to CE4 I'm disappointed to discover that the functionality has been reduced.
Chris
Using CE3 Auto index I was able to construct a home page for my site with a tightly packed grid of images with titles below.
http://www.chrishammondphotography.com/ … /index.php
How can I achieve a similar layout with CE4?
