#2 Re: Backlight 3 Support » error publishing photos to album » 2020-05-04 14:42:50

lightroom.  i have version 4.0.0.0 of the plugin.  is that the latest one?

#3 Re: Backlight 3 Support » error publishing photos to album » 2020-05-04 14:25:07

i can delete an album, create a new one and publish random photo to it. but when i add a photo i get the error mentioned in the previous message.

If i try to create an album with 4 photos, the first one is published and i get an error on the next 3.

i posted initial photos to each album yesterday.  today, with no changes at all, i added a photo to an album and tried to publish and get the error "recordPublishedPhotoUrl: must be called after recordPublishedPhotoId" in lightroom.

i've tried different photos and different albums and get the same error.

thoughts?

thanks.

hi rod.

thanks. i realized it may be easier if i saved the page, album etc as templates and started over since things weren't that complex.

that seems to work fine.

thanks!

#6 Re: Backlight 3 Support » upgraded to BL3, now site reset to default with no content » 2020-05-01 08:12:24

i think when i copied the site i want tweak (Site B) into the directory i deleted (Site A), the publisher in light room is still linked with Site B.

is there a way to re link the publisher somehow? i guess that's the issue.

#7 Re: Backlight 3 Support » upgraded to BL3, now site reset to default with no content » 2020-05-01 07:40:42

i tried changing templates and it throws the same error.
now it says the API key does not authenticate. i re-entered it in Admin and saved. and it (just a 4 digit number) and it will still not authenticate.

i think the lightroom publisher is still linking to site B.  not site A where i copied site B's directory.

for example, the galleries listed are still Site B. (it won't let me delete them because it says there are albums that need to be deleted first.).

the url and path in the publisher is correct for Site A (joliverbrooks.com/backlight/publisher) but it the admin page shows the albums from notfromyourtribe.net (site B)

#8 Re: Backlight 3 Support » upgraded to BL3, now site reset to default with no content » 2020-05-01 07:24:50

thanks. that fixed most of it.

after copying Site B into Site A directory, I tried to republish the Site A galleries from lightroom.  i get an error Message:

Unable to perform action: getSetupForTemplate
The album could not be found for id 52215.  Please edit this album and try again.

i tried editing the album and checked the API key (which checks ok).  but i still get this error.

from BL2 to BL3

oh. i followed the documentation at backlight.me and it said to copy the directory over.  i guess that wasn't supposed to be for upgrades.

i have another site i can duplicate and tweek in a different directory. (www.notfromyourtribe.net), call it Site B.

what is the best way to essentially copy the directory of Site B to the directory of Site A and then update the albums (previously published from lightroom).

thanks

hi.
i upgraded to BL 3, following the instructions (though i left my gallery files in the directory). now the entire site is blank (i.e. it is the default for BL3 with no content)

foolishly, i forgot to duplicate the old directory.

how do i get my site back?

the site is joliverbrooks.com

#13 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Homepage loads initially, but not after tapping ‘home’..nav bar issue? » 2018-09-12 10:32:46

hi ben,
let know if you need more info.  it may not be a BL2 bug, i'm not sure.

On the site i mentioned above www.joliverbrooks.com (i sent admin info to you) clicking home leads to a home page with blank thumbnails

but on my other site, that is basically the same it does not: www.notfromyourtribe.net

My sight works normally (though much snappier) but there is an odd quirk.
1 when I load the homepage or click the masthead, the home page displays normally. If I click on home in the navigation menu, all the gallery previews are blank.

2. When I click contact or about I get the home page with blank gallery previews.

?

Thanks

#16 Re: Backlight 2 Support » trouble publishing with Lightroom CC » 2018-09-10 12:32:16

Thanks.  that fixed it.  i clicked show plug-in in LR and there was another copy lurking in a different directory it was using.

I downloaded the new TTG plugin through BL2.  Then i a photo to an album and tried to publish.  i get the following error:

An internal error has occurred
TTGPublishServiceProvider.lua:666: attempt to index field ‘renditions’ (a nil value}

#18 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Homepage appears, but is not formatted like it was in BL1 » 2018-09-10 10:30:14

OK.  I found out two things"

1. there must be .htaccess at the top level for the website
2. there must be a second .htaccess in the backlight directory
3. i just add the following at the beginning of the file for it to get the correct version of PHP:

# Use PHP56CGI as default
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php56 .php

thanks!

I installed BL2. I kept the data and custom files.  yet, the masthead image no longer appears and the format of the albums on the homepage is not the same.  i haven't changed any of the settings or files.

was there something else i need to change after upgrading?

#20 Re: Backlight 2 Support » home page does not appear after BL2 update » 2018-09-10 10:07:32

i called bluehost and the fixed an addhandler in the file.  now i can connect.  however the site looks nothing like it used to.  i'll start a separate thread for taht.

#21 Re: Backlight 2 Support » home page does not appear after BL2 update » 2018-09-10 09:45:53

in one .htaccess backup, this was included at the top:

# Use PHP5.4 Single php.ini as default
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php54s .php
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php

i tried pasting it into the .htaccess but that didn't change anything.

#22 Re: Backlight 2 Support » home page does not appear after BL2 update » 2018-09-10 09:39:57

no.  after replacing those files i cannot log into BL2 at all.  i get the same PHP message.

#23 Re: Backlight 2 Support » home page does not appear after BL2 update » 2018-09-10 09:20:31

i copied over index.php and .htaccess (i hadn't before). now when i go to the homepage ii get the message that i am running PHP 5.2.17.  i ot this message during the install, called bluehost and they upgraded it to 5.6. The install then worked fine.

I checked on my cpanel on bluehost and it says i am running PHP 5.4.24.

#25 Re: Backlight 2 Support » update gives error: SQLSTATE[HY000] » 2018-09-10 06:42:32

thanks ben.  i probably forgot to update BL1 consistently on that site as it gets neglected at times..
