I set aside the backlight folder before the start of the upgrade. Putting that back brings back most of the pages besides the homepage and about (that URL is expanded with "backlight/installer"until too long).

#2 Re: Backlight 2 Support » sudden death » 2019-07-02 04:22:24

@Rod: All Backlight 2 modules are at the latest version, so at version 4.0.9 for the module-publisher.

@Ben: That is on its way.

In this same environment we have also a WordPress site running. That has also issues with PHP 7 when uploading an image (in standard WP environment, not Blacklight), also complaining that some tmp folder could not found/accessed.

Since yesterday evening the original error is back (see 2019-06-15 11:37:33), So I guess that the provider reverted to their original settings.

After some iterations Versio has modified the settings around PHP (unclear only for me or generically..).  So that both upload and websites (in BL1 and 2) work again when I use PHP 5.6.

When I select PHP 7.3 the websites remain working (for BL1 after updating some code, some other trail here), however, upload from Lightroom fails with:
----
Can't update this collection.
Unable to perform action: uploadRendition
Message: Unexpected error: File upload error - unable to create a temporary file in Unknown on line 0
----

I guess it is also a setting to be done by the provider.

#4 Re: Backlight 2 Support » sudden death » 2019-06-15 18:37:33

This:
  Something went wrong
Unexpected error: Unknown: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/jacqujh6/.php/php-mail.log) is not within the allowed path(s):   (/home/jacqujh6/domains/jacqfish.nl/:/home/jacqujh6/domains/include/:/etc/pki/tls/certs:/tmp:/var/tmp:/usr/local/lib/php/:/usr/local/php55/lib/php/) in Unknown on line 0

Is also causing me troubles. I'm also at the hosting provider Versio. Above happens at both the website itself as well as trying to upload to it. As well as for both one site on Backlight 2 and on one still on Backlight 1.

Above behavior with the PHP version explicitly set to 7.3.

Moving to 'native PHP' version removes this error on the website (still header does not show); publishing in Lightroom, takes a (short) while (a timeout?) and returns with '... Call to undefined function exif_read_data() ...'.
Running the installed functions in the Backlight admin does not show exif. However, provider states it is installed (shows in a local overview).

Further this is all not stable it may different (correct) tomorrow.... without changing anything in Backlight (installation), and provider states as well that they have not changed anything.

I am confused and lost ?????

#5 CE4 Publisher » Search does not handle {Headline}, what does it use? » 2015-02-02 02:12:17

The {Headline} data, although displayed, is not used in Search.

This search returns a picture:
http://reizen.jacqfish.nl/search/?q=5000, the search on'5000' is in present in the {Caption}. However, searching for "Myay Yadana" does not return this picture.

Which data is used in the Search engine? Can that be influenced?

Other remark on Search page: the text displayed as sidebar in the empty/new Search page is 'in-line' (as opposed to 'the right') on returning the results. This results in text in the wrong location.

#6 Re: CE4 Gallery » Map Zoom option not available in CE4 » 2015-01-08 05:13:49

Also in the most recent version this setting is still gone in CE4. And not having got reaction here is not to encouraging...

If not any more in the user interface, can it be done by custom code?

#7 CE4 Gallery » Map Zoom option not available in CE4 » 2014-08-27 17:03:24

After moving to CE4 I noticed that my Google Maps zoom level was not what I wanted (too much detail, zoom level 18). Going back into the settings it appeared that that was not possible any more (Map Type still available).

Can this option brought back into CE4?

#8 CE4 Auto Index » Thumbnail not shown on autoindex after upgrade to August 15, 2014 CE4 » 2014-08-19 04:40:46

After the upgrade to the August 15, 2014 set of versions on my autoindex page I do not get the thumbnails any more. See http://reizen.jacqfish.nl/galleries.php, the Cuba 2007 gallery is new after the update. It does not show a thumbnail. Others still do, these were generated before this update (and show old thumbnails).

I do not publish an autoindex template, I do not have the need for it (I think). I publish the Pages template for series of pages, including this autoindex page, and a Gallery template for the galleries themselves.

I guess this is related to this remark on http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … changelog:
Publisher templates for “CE4 Standard” layout galleries no longer generate or need the secondary image rendition “thumbnails”, which should provide faster publishing for such galleries.

My analysis is that in my setup/usage the publisher does not generate the thumbnails folder any more while autoindex page still uses it.
What is the cause of this issue?
