Upgrading BL1 site to BL2 failed

The upgrade from BL1 to BL2 failed on

The process stopped with:

Updating Backlight Publisher from version 2.3.0 to 4.0.0

I set aside the backlight folder before the start of the upgrade. Putting that back brings back most of the pages besides the homepage and about (that URL is expanded with "backlight/installer"until too long).

Hi, can you please provide me with an FTP login and Backlight admin login via email?

It would be very helpful if you could outline all the steps you’ve taken during the upgrade.
