Thanks again for the quick reply Rod.
Not likely to go the first option route and not yet ready for Wordpress. Rather looking to spend any spare time investigating a different local payment gateway to PayPal. Will continue with the message filters for now and keep hoping
Hi. Would it be a stretch to request an the option to add an additional email address for the contact form? I wish to separate my art and crg orders from my general enquiries in my mail inbox. Am presently doing it with message filters, but is not 100% reliable and consistent?
Did the trick! Thanks...... again.
Thanks yet again Rod.
It turns out it was the Pages, Appearance, The Gallery the 'Page Assignment' setting. Must be set to 'Home'. Obvious once you get your head around it, not so much if you are following the tutorial blindly as a first time user.
As my site is up an running for all intents and purposes I wish to thank you at this time for all your assistance and incredibly quick replies the past few days. As I get more comfortable with the software I might try a few more things, so you might get some more ignorant queries in future. Thanks to Ben and Matt for the software as well.

Set this to Home (did you try this?)
If you plan on replacing it with Publisher, then set this option to yes.
Will try setting it to 'Home' (did not want to do it before as it did not appear to be necessary in Matt's tutorial) and Publisher option is set to 'Yes'.
The way it works is that Publisher will find an album in the galleries/ folder with the slug "pages-gallery" and use that to replace the page you've designated.
It does look straight forward from a setup point of view. Therein lies my confusion.
Will report back whether setting to 'Home' does the trick.
Hi guys
As far as I can tell I have done everything in http://theturninggate.net/2014/07/the-p … home-page/ and http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … _home_page, but cannot get my flip gallery to work as with CE3. I still only get the index page as my home page as set up in Pages.
Under CE3 you could set your Home page to be 'Full-screen, Flip Gallery' under 'Home Page: The Block Content'. Anything I must do under CE4 to emulate this? Am using publisher without problems, creating client CRG and cart galleries under /galleries and regular portfolio galleries under under /portfolio.
in Pages, Appearance, The Gallery the 'Page Assignment' is set to 'disabled' as per Matt's screen grab. Is this correct? Should it be 'Home'? Replacement by Publisher is 'Yes'.
in Pages, Appearance, The Media Area, The Home Page the 'Content Type' is set to 'No Content / PHPlugins Outlet'.
Publisher 'Top-level galleries directory' set to 'galleries' and the images have correctly published to 'galleries/pages-gallery/'.
Definitely missing an obvious step somewhere, but as I am not sure how CE4 goes about pointing to the published 'pages-gallery' folder to mange the home page I do not know where to look. Have re-read everything, but am stumped.
Found a bug in the 'Highslide Comparative' presentation of the Client Response Gallery.
For testing, say you have 2 images in a Client Response Gallery. Enlarge image 1 - view A. Enlarge image 2 - view B.
Scroll through images in View A. Every time image 2 appears in view A, the image select icon (selected or unselected) is duplicated in view B. I stop testing after I had about 15 duplications. Closing view A and repeating the process just adds more duplicates in view B. Closing view B and opening image 2 again, resets everything to normal.
Tested in Firefox and Chrome.
Thanks for confirming Rod. More templates it is then.
I am attempting to set up the minimum amount of default CRG templates with Publisher in mind. It appears that deselecting the 'Enable Feedback' in Publisher not only disables the Lightroom 'Enable Feedback Features' but the 'Enable Image Selection' as well. Is this correct?
Hi Rod, thanks for comments. Will look into it.
Yes, I was referring to the large highslide image (at least my cart status now appears above all pages). Solved the currency issue in the cart status bar by disabling it with css.
Feedback on the digital download issue. Overcame my phpLiteAdmin anxieties and entered the 'photos-for-purchase' value into the empty 'Download Directory' field of the default Digital Download product and everything worked beautifully. How it got omitted in the first place remains a mystery as no one else seems to have experienced this. Everything about this cart is excellent, and the digital download system and it's interactive mail communication with the clients adds to its impressive functionality (especially for those of us living in countries with unsupported PayPal currencies).
many thanks to all involved
Got the CE4 cart working, but have found a few issues I have not come across my travels to your wiki and blog. So if already discussed and resolved, my advance apologies. Posting all my queries in one post, but if admin wishes to remove it due to any forum rules, I can post individually.
Based on Rod's excellent http://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto. … -ttg-cart/, I set up a dual digital download price scheme. The cart and ordering process works great and publisher creates the images in the 'photos-for-purchase' folder. The problem is that the download images created by publisher are treated the same way as the manually created download images. In other words, both files have a 'Pending file preparation' status after payment confirmation and /ttg-be/data/cart/digital_purchases/ is empty. One thing I did notice was that the 'Download Directory' of the default Digital Download' is empty in the cart admin product edit page (Rod's screen capture in the above link shows 'photos-for-purchase' displayed). Could this be indicative of my problem?
Is there a global way to ensure that the cart status bar appears over entire site (even non cart-integrated pages).
Applies specifically to my portfolio galleries (which are of course non-cart galleries). Have created a workaround by publishing these galleries with a cart enabled gallery template, but with the 'enable cart' option disabled. Works as hoped, but the problem is that the disabled cart icon still appears in the highslide gallery frame and is select-able (although granted nothing happens). Through custom.css I made it the same colour as the background, but still struggling with the cursor changing to a pointer when moved over it (small thing I know, but dammit so close...). Is there another way to ensure a site wide cart status bar?
I removed 'USD' from 'Abbreviated Price Format' in Cart Settings, but it still appears on the cart status bar following the amount. How do I remove it or replace it with 'ZAR'?
What is the function of 'Reset the Cart' in Cart Admin?
Any way of getting rid of all those fake orders in my cart once I'm done testing? At first glance phpLiteAdmin intimidates me.
Once I'm done, what are the steps to backup my cart settings, price schemes and products without the orders?
Thanks
Thanks Ben. Hoping to go live in a day or so. Still have few niggles. Will read through the CE4 documentation first for any solutions. Time to put the camera down for a bit and wrap my head around the TTG lingo.
Apologies. Re-read the Auto Index behaviour and deleting the autoindex.xml in said folder solved the problem. If anyone has a more 'elegant' solution I would like to know.
Have at last gotten around to converting my site to CE4.
I need to hide a 'help page' for my cart galleries from auto index. Have created the page from the galleries template as it allows my thumbnail examples to be viewed with highslide (could not find a stage gallery similar to the CE3 Standard used previously). Would like to keep the page under my galleries folder for organizational purposes, but auto index adds it to my list of galleries.
The way I see it my options are to either move this page (folder) to my root or publish it via Publisher with 'Hide from Auto Index' checked, except if someone has a quick phplugins (or other) solution. Any suggestions? Thanks
