This site contains video clips. In the Galleries page, there are thumbnails leading to these clips.
Never had a problem until today...

Re: What Does this mean?

The reason for the error is most likely a change in the php version done by your host.

I think this site is running backlight 1. If this is the case, install the latest backlight 1 modules.

You can't log in or you can't reach the page?

Have you tried uploading the latest Backlight 1 releases?

Re: What Does this mean?

Backlight 1 does not require you to log in to upload updates. Daniel's suggestion was to install the latest Backlight 1 updates.

Log into your TTG account and see if they're there to download. Then unzip and upload them to the site and try logging in again to complete any update (like visiting the various sections in case databases need updating)

I can access that page. Have you actually tried logging in or do you get an error message by just visiting the page?

If I install the latest Backlight1 (08-08-2016) or Backlight 2, will I have to redesign everything?

Re: What Does this mean?

Are they both using the exact same version of Backlight?

Regardless, for that other site you can either try uploading the latest available version of Backlight 1 and modules or try updating to Backlight 2.

This site is based on CE3.

The issue you are having is a PHP version change. You can log into your host's admin panel and change the PHP version to an older one. Or, as Ben has pointed out, download the latest Backlight version AGAIN** and install it. Then the site will work again. No changes are needed.

** I is important that you download it again since there were some under-the-hood changes to fix, among others, the issue you are currently seeing.

Re: What Does this mean?

So, trying to upgrade to Backlight 2, I ruined everything! So, I resorted to deleting the site files and I am in the process of uploading a backup copy of the site that I have on disk.

Hope to be up and running soon...

(This in no way means I don't have to upgrade to Backlight 2. But every time I try this, I fumble the ball and I have to redesign.)

Re: What Does this mean?

Remember, when upgrading from a Backlight 1 site, do not delete the backlight/data/ or the backlight/custom/ folders. Also don't delete the galleries/ folder.

And make sure that the index.php and .htaccess files go where they belong. The ones in the root of the unzipped Backlight-2-installer-xxx folder go in the root of the site. The ones in the backlight/ folder from the download go in the backlight/ folder on the site.

These are the most common areas of mistakes people make.

Re: What Does this mean?

The backup files are there and the site runs...as it did, with the error as expected.
Having lost the password, I can't get in the Backlight admin page. The url http://www.nathaliemoliavko-visotzky.co … n/?a=login does not work.

Nevertheless, should I try yet another attempt at upgrading to Backlight 2? Also, the password credentials I have for the French and English sides return this message:

Something went wrong
count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in SimpleHTMLTag.php on line 44

Re: What Does this mean?

If you can share an FTP login via email I’ll have a go at fixing your BL1 site.

Re: What Does this mean?

Hi Pierre, as I'm not able to access your site via FTP, can you try updating the BL1 site, following the steps to upgrade to 1.2.3 here: http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … _changelog

The file causing you an issue is at

backlight/framework/helpers/SimpleHTMLTag.php

If you want to just upgrade that, then it *might* solve the problem, but there are likely other fixes that will need to be made, which will need the full upgrade steps in the above document.
