Check on my URL below and you will connect to my homepage without hero. Click on the "Home" menu item and it will take you to the actual inserted "home gallery" which has a hero image displayed.
I want to redirect my homepage automatically to the "home gallery" page with the hero image. How can this be easily done?

So, you want the hero image to display on the Home page?
If so, trying clearing the template cache.
Hero images should display with embedded albums. This was unintentional, but hurray for unforeseen side-effects. My first inclination was that I should fix it, but it looks like people like having hero images included, so now I'm thinking I'll try to put some options around it instead.

I thought you did fix that. Something to do with the big blank area showing up in a search page using a Hero enabled album template. I can't get the hero to appear in an inserted album on my test site.

The area is not displayed when the cover image is not set in the album. Search results are a specialised type of album that don’t have a cover image set. I can’t see that change affecting embedded albums.

Did you clear the template cache? Embedded albums don't refresh their settings as their standard views do.
