Hello
The photos on my Home page: https://www.piktour.uk/
and the ones used in Galleries > Impressions > Chile: https://www.piktour.uk/galleries/impressions/chile/
are exactly same except that the Home page ones have been reduced to 256k and the Impressions are 512k.
They both use the same Album Template: Album-Justified-1 Column
For some reason when viewing photos individually the Collapse Captions arrow shows up in Impressions but not in Home.
This is particularly annoying when viewing on an iPhone because the caption hides part of the image in landscape mode.
All the settings I have used appear to be exactly the same......can anyone help please.
Thanks
Neville

the reason the thumbnails appear smaller on the home page is because there is less room for them to be displayed.
The album appears to be set up to show three columns. The image size is determined by number of columns and the width of the area in which those columns are displayed. Make the width of the display area smaller and the images get smaller.

Hello Rod
It's not the thumbnail size it's when you open a photo up the captions show at the bottom.....now that's OK on a PC but on an iPhone they take up a lot of room.....so there is a Captions Collapse arrow on the right to reduce them to one line in the Impressions album but not in Home.
NB. As far as I'm aware the Home page is set up as 2 column.....where do you see 3 columns?

3 columns on desktop. That’s what I thought you were referring to when you mentioned the picture sizes

So I've just noticed that the Collapse Captions icon is actually there on the Home page version but it's invisible!
If you hover in the area where it should be the tip caption comes up.
Any idea what is hiding it?

Yes sorry.....got fed up with the load times for a Home Page.
Plus the Collapse Captions missing icon looks like something that's not straightforward to fix.
Thought I'd try the Las Vegas Slideshow but I've got a problem with that! I'll open another post.

The only reason I can think of for the icon not showing up in your home page is that it might be the same color as the background.
The color of that icon is controlled by the page template in the Typography > Buttons : Text Color setting.
Your albums are using a different page template than your home page. My guess is that in the page template being used for the home page, in Typography > Buttons > Text Color, that the color is set to white. Change it to black and that should solve the problem.

Yep right again.....it had no setting applied, so appeared transparent I guess.
Thanks very much

If you see the box with an X, that means it’s using one of rather default colors set in the Color section of the page template.
