Hello,
I just updated to BL2 from BL1. I have usually GPS data recorded when I take a picture and in BL1 I picked the metadata to be displayed below the image. When I updated to BL2, everything worked well but I noticed that in my new published albums, the map icon does not show up while the GPS data is displayed for the picture, what do I miss? I would like to have the map icon visible when I have GPS data in the picture.
Thanks
Vincent

Where are you looking for the map icon. It should appear once you click on the image menu icon in the large image display (slide show option) or it's one of the buttons that appears above the image in the Single Image display option.
Can you post a link so we can see what you're seeing?

My website is private, so I show what I see in this screenshot:

I look at the same place as in BL1.

in each of your albums, take a look at your album settings under the Features tab. Make sure that Enable Maps is turned on.
You may need to republish the images after enabling. If you do, in the Publisher settings in Lightroom, click the "Push metadata without updating existing photos" checkbox. That will make it go a lot faster.

That worked, just enabling maps in the Album. I did not have to re-publish the picture (or just the metadata), it worked instantly.
I never had to do it for BL1, so is there a setting in Lightroom that I have to use? or is it in BL2 in the default album setting?
Thanks

There's always been a setting in the Albums under the Features tab to enable maps.
When creating a new album in Lightroom, go to the Features tab and enable maps.
Backlight 2 also has the same setting if you're creating your albums without Lightroom.
