I've managed to mess my site up :(

I got the host update the hosting to a virtual server for all my sites so that I could have an SSL which has worked fine for all my site except the one with backlight.

http://www.terryliveseyphotography.co.uk

I get the following error:
session_start(): Unable to clear session lock record|#0 [internal function]: ErrorHandler::handleError(2, 'session_start()...', '/home/hp3-linc8...', 74, Array) #1 /home/hp3-linc8-nfs2-z/300/1903300/user/htdocs/backlight/framework/helpers/AuthHelper.php(74): session_start() #2 /home/hp3-linc8-nfs2-z/300/1903300/user/htdocs/backlight/framework/init.php(123): AuthHelper::handleSession() #3 /home/hp3-linc8-nfs2-z/300/1903300/user/htdocs/index.php(19): require_once('/home/hp3-linc8...') #4 {main}|URL: /index.php

This is the same for the admin section.

Any ideas would be great big_smile

Thanks,
Terry

Re: I've managed to mess my site up :(

I’m using 7 which is what I was using before.

I have just noticed that the file permissions are all set to 700 which I’m sure isn’t right and when I try and change them I get an error so will have to ring the host when they are open in the morning.

Re: I've managed to mess my site up :(

They say I need to use SSH to change permission which I've been in done. It's getting a time out message in the error logs and I'm assuming this is because it cannot write the file? Does that sound valid?

Re: I've managed to mess my site up :(

Okay, I've done the following:

Chmod 775 on data and galleries
I downloaded the latest backlight and uploaded all but data and custom incl. htaccess files.

I've put a tmp holding shtml page up but the main page can be accessed http://www.terryliveseyphotography.co.uk/index.php

The .htaccess is currently disabled to the html works.

Where do I go now sad

Re: I've managed to mess my site up :(

I've installed a fresh version a test directory and when you load that page it says backlight needs configuring but then comes up with the following error (which is basically what I get now on the main site)

session_start(): Unable to clear session lock record|#0 [internal function]: ErrorHandler::handleError(2, 'session_start()...', '/home/hp3-linc8...', 74, Array) #1 /home/hp3-linc8-nfs2-z/300/1903300/user/htdocs/backlight/framework/helpers/AuthHelper.php(74): session_start() #2 /home/hp3-linc8-nfs2-z/300/1903300/user/htdocs/backlight/framework/init.php(123): AuthHelper::handleSession() #3 /home/hp3-linc8-nfs2-z/300/1903300/user/htdocs/backlight/admin/index.php(24): require_once('/home/hp3-linc8...') #4 {main}|URL: /backlight/admin/index.php

Re: I've managed to mess my site up :(

This problem isn't fixed, I've just put a .htacess redirect to another server which does run the site correctly. I've only got this for a week or so.

If Ben or Matt want to give me a heads up on how to fix I can disable the .htaccess to debug.

Cheers,
Tel.

Re: I've managed to mess my site up :(

Terry, I would make a new install of Backlight in a subdirectory and see if this works.

Re: I've managed to mess my site up :(

Yeah already did that (mentioned it few messages up - I know, I talk / type a lot yikes)

I was still broke on that, so at least I know it's nothing to do with the original install.

It's the middle of the night in Australia so you won't hear from Ben for awhile. But you could maybe save some time by sending him an email referencing this topic and include Backlight admin and FTP credentials.

Re: I've managed to mess my site up :(

I'm getting the same error message. Site was working fine until I did a lot of album set deletion/creation. Now I get:

session_start(): Unable to clear session lock record|#0 [internal function]: ErrorHandler::handleError(2, 'session_start()...', '/var/sites/a/ar...', 156, Array) #1 /var/sites/a/artofthewild.co.uk/public_html/backlight/modules/module-framework/helpers/AuthHelper.php(156): session_start() #2 /var/sites/a/artofthewild.co.uk/public_html/backlight/modules/module-framework/Framework.php(390): AuthHelper::handleSession() #3 /var/sites/a/artofthewild.co.uk/public_html/backlight/modules/module-framework/Framework.php(148): Framework->handleSession() #4 /var/sites/a/artofthewild.co.uk/public_html/backlight/modules/module-framework/Framework.php(41): Framework->init() #5 /var/sites/a/artofthewild.co.uk/public_html/index.php(37): Framework->__construct('.', Array) #6 {main}|URL: /index.php

Re: I've managed to mess my site up :(

As an update, this resolved itself overnight. I suspect the hoster was doing some server work. Sorry for bothering y'all
