When I send the link to a gallery on my website, I see "Montgr \ u00ed" when "Montgrí" should appear

If you're creating albums from Lightroom, it looks to me that special characters will be removed from the album slug (they're not even allowed in the album name). If you're using Backlight to publish your albums, it looks like they are allowed in the slug.
However, when you copy and paste them, those special characters will be converted into code.
Your best option is to not use special characters at all. Only standard letters, numbers, underscores, and dashes.

"Special" characters should not be permitted in URLs, period. If they are happening when creating albums in Backlight, then that's probably something we'll need to address in an update.
In the meantime, please do not use such characters in your slugs.
