Hi,
I have updated my site (I tried several times) from BL 1 (okapi) to BL2.
It seems to go well but when I start my homepage (potokphotography.com) I get an error: too many referrals. And the URL changes in Safari to:
http://potokphotography.com/installer/i … installer/
When I go to my site from /backlight I get an other error: Unexpected error: PHP Startup: No such handler: DBA_DEFAULT in Unknown on line 0
Who can help me please?

First make sure that the index.php and .htaccess files are in the correct places.
There are two sets of those files. One set is in the root of the unzipped Backlight-2-Installer-xxx/ folder (at the same level as the backlight/ and galleries/ folders)
That set goes into the root of the site.
The other set is located in the backlight/ folder. That set goes into the backlight/ folder of the site.

Hi Rod,
I restarted my Synology NAS (I'm running the site on my NAS). Now the redirect errors are gone, so I can reach the site. But I still get the error as mentioned before:
Unexpected error: PHP Startup: No such handler: DBA_DEFAULT in Unknown on line 0. Ans the site seems te be very slow.

This looks to be an issue specific to PHP on Synology NAS, and not related to Backlight. See if this helps:
