try re-uploading the index.php and .htaccess files from the root of your unzipped Backlight-Installer download to the root of the site.

Changed the two files with the ones originally downloaded from TTG...same result.

Now, this is really strange: I noticed that the Backlight folder was missing! So, I replaced it from the original download. But now, it's like I'm re-installing: I had to go thru the basic setup and now I have to redesign everything even though I still have the original Galleries folder.

The backlight folder contains the data folder. All settings, templates, album references (Publisher data), etc are contained in the data folder.
You may find that you no longer have control over the galleries.
I don’t suppose you have a recent backup of the backlight/data folder? Perhaps your hosting company runs backups?

I'll look it up but frankly, I think I'll to redesign (again) this site.

By chance, I had an earlier version on backup. So, I switched the backlight folders and I'm back online, though I still have to amend the design, at least I have something to work with.
Thanks again!
