I have looked high and low to find the setting to change the lightbox colours, can anyone help, please.

look in your album template.
For colors concerning the grid (cell background and border colors, grid icons, color labels) look under Thumbnail Grid
For colors concerning the large image display (background, UI background, buttons, etc.) look under Photo Presentation
if none of those do the trick, let us know what you're trying to change
