There used to be a way to display panoramas (in CE4) with the stage plug-in so that they would scroll rather than scale. There seems to be no way to do this in Backlight. Does anyone have any clever ideas to do this?

I suppose you could still use Stage to create that and then use Theater's Pym embed feature to embed it into a Theater album.
It would be a little extra work.

In Stage you'd need to disable everything but the gallery area. That means disabling Masthead, navigation, footer, copy area, maybe other things.

What about something like this, embedded in Theater's Pym iframe
https://codecanyon.net/item/360-panoram … ref=annapx
or this, without Wordpress:

or this:

I'm trying to avoid having a Wordpress instance, but that may be the simplest way to do this.
However, may I humbly suggest a feature request for a new add on for flat-panorama album type? It's far outside my coding ability, but displaying (iPhone) panoramas outside of facebook is a need I bet many photographers would pay for.

Either of the last two seem like they would work. In the second one I don't know if you'd need to include the first step since jQuery is loaded in all Backlight pages anyway.
Just use that Pym html template and add the code where needed.
We'll have to wait and see if Matt decides to add a pano feature to Theater.

That's the reason I made it more of a feature request. Editing the code each time for each is not really practical, but publishing to a template would be.
Hopefully this catches Matt's interest once he sees it.

Something like this?

YES!

I'll make a job ticket for myself to evaluate this. I can't make any promises until I've gotten my hands dirty.

Thank you Matt! No promises required, I appreciate your looking into it.

Any news? (not pushing or rushing, just hoping to keep this alive)

I spend an afternoon trying to get Paver to work, and it wasn't working out. It's tabled until I have time to research alternatives. Still on my mind, though.

Fair enough, thank you!

Good news! I've got this working, and I think we'll have a Theater update with panorama support in the near future.
