Hi,
My mac OS crashed and I had to restore my system and Lightroom lost the Backlight (1.0) publisher plugin. I reconnected it and am able to connect with my website, but cannot edit/remove or otherwise edit my galleries. they do not show up in the Library module.
Any ideas on how I may restore it?
thanks.

Your Publisher instances along with the albums and album sets contained within them are stored in the catalog. Are you using the same catalog that created the albums?

Hi,
I'm not sure what "publisher instances" are, but yes I am using the same catalog. I have all the collections in my library module and even have the TTG CE3 collections in Publisher which I used to do a "select all" and created a new album and published it. But I ended up with 2 identical galleries on my website. I don't know why TTG Publisher did restore with the application while TTG CE3 did not.
So I need to figure out which way to approach this...
thanks,
Robert

The CE3 version of Publisher needs to be reinstalled if you’re still using CE3

If your Publisher albums aren’t showing up you may have a corrupted catalog
A Publisher instance is just a setup of Publisher to connect with a site. If you right click on TTG Publisher in the Publisher pane, one of the options is to “create another Service with TTG Publisher” or words to that effect. That will create another instance of Publisher.

Hi,
I'm using Backlight, not CE3. When I did a restore via Time Machine everything went back into Lightroom, except Backlight. I found the Backlight publisher plug-in in my documents folder where I left it, and added it again to my LR publisher module.
But I have no collections there, so I made a new one and published it to my website, so I know that link works.
But I have no way of modifying, or deleting or udating my galleries on the server--or do I?
How can I redo all of that is what I'm trying to figure out...
Thanks,
Robert

All that is stored in the catalog. So if it’s not there, I don’t know what to tell you.
There’s no way that I know of for Lightroom to “read” what’s on your website and reconstruct your Publisher collections.

Hi,
So I"m now trying to delete my individual galleries and rebuild them. I have all my photos in collections in Lightroom so it will be fairly easy to put them back up using publisher. But how do I delete them? I deleted one gallery using FTP but it left the place marker for the gallery on the galleries page with the name of the gallery but no photos in it. So would you know how I can delete the place holder for that galley that is on the galleries page?
thank you,
Robert

You need to delete them in Backlight.
In the Backlight menu, go to Backlight > Publisher > Top Level Galleries
Click on Albums
Then click on the individual album names. Scroll down the page to Actions and click on Delete
