Why is my Backlight page so gigantic?
Trying to transition from CE4 to Backlight. Have had a long detour into slideshow gallery issues, but have realized that my Backlight test site looks & feels way too big & clunky. My page templates use pretty much default specs, e.g., layout size 1140px max-width, 1024 breakpoint. But the page & all elements on it - logo, text, etc. - seem out of scale, especially when compared to my older CE4 site.

Can I build a Backlight site that doesn't seem to scale everything up so dramatically?

your image links are going to 404 pages. Don't use FTP links. Instead, use regular urls. If you want to display them in your post (preferable so we don't have to bounce over to different tabs) then put the urls to the images inside of BBCode IMG tags--see the little img tag link

You should be able to. I basically mimicked my old CE4 site with Backlight. Not much of a design change, really.

I was able to reproduce the same look and feel from my CE4 days.
A few comments, and yes, I'm going for the low-hanging fruits:
- Your logo is now 60px high vs 40px with CE4. To make the masthead smaller, you could remove the top and bottom padding from 24px to something smaller (.masthead-primary {padding: 24px 0 24px;}).
- The font you use is bigger than the one from CE4.

another difference between the two is that the CE4 site is using Galleria
