Hi,
why is BL2 not displaying the masthead logo image at its actual pixel size? It is always displayed at a factor of roughly 1,5x of the actual size.
I thought it was because my image was too small, 18px x 498px, so I made the logo bigger, 50px x 650 px but now it still will be displayed at roughly 1,5x the actual size, way too big? It is just formatted type as an image saved as png for the alpha channel.
Normally pics are always displayed at their actual pixel size, why is it different in the masthead with the logo image?
I am just starting with BL2 and am in the process of redoing my page which is still hosted with CE4.
Thanx

Can you post a link to your site?

Hi Rod,
here is a link: http://testsite.petervogel.com/testseite_logo/
I took out the logo picture, but added it again now with an extra menue and page and template, so you can see what it looks like.
Since my logo is text only, I subtituted it with text that I formatted via css. That works fine for me too and you can check that look by clicking on any of the other menue items.
Still, why is it not displayed in proper size?
Also, where do I set the text sizes in the backend? I could swear that I went through a setup for that, but I can't find it anymore. So right now I am using css classes to change text size.
I do find the backend quite confusing at times.
Thanx

the image is still at 489x18. Did you try clearing template cache?

default font-size is 16px. Some other sizes are set within the Backlight css with rem.
Some elements can be set within the page template: Masthead text title, menu items, etc.
if you want to change the font-size of the copy text, then use custom css

Yes, I cleaned template cache more than once and browser cache as well to no avail. If I grab the pic on the website with the mouse and pull it away, the "ghost image" immediately shows at the right size, much smaller.
Well, I guess I stick with the custom css formatted text then.

Yes, I was looking for a global setting for the default font size, but couldn't find one. I used custom css now to change that.
BTW: In the backend there are quite a few color picker buttons that are for text color, but they don't say that expicitly, which makes one try out quite a lot to see if it applies to the text, the box or the background. It would be nice to have it state: Color (text) or something like that

On color, here's a video Matt created to explain how the color in Backlight works

Thanx, but I already figured that out;-)
I thin it would be really good, if there were more videos on youtube about the basic handling of backlight 2! That would also be a good way to explain the limitations of backlight 2 and how to work around those using custom css and custom phpplugins.
