Hi guys,
Having a bit of an issue with the cart on Chrome on mobile. Customers are unable to add an item to the cart as the popup is dismissed when trying to scroll unless very specific parts of the screen are pressed on.
As far as I can tell, only the following items allow the screen to scroll:
Headers (Item Name, Product, Description etc)
Drop down/text boxes (Under product and Quantity)
All other areas cause the add item to cart box to move off the screen and be dismissed without scrolling and showing the "Add to Cart" button.
I've tried Firefox and the issue does not seem to be present, so I'm assuming this is a Chrome based issue, but as Chrome seems to be the default for a lot of Android users, advising customers they need to use another browser is not a great solution (especially for the less tech orientated)!
Does anyone know of a solution for this?
Many thanks,
Chris

Can you post a link to a cart enabled album?

Hi Rod,
Sorry, here's a link https://www.mitchellphotos.co.uk/Pet-Ph … cember-18/
Desktop Chrome and Firefox on Android seems to work fine, so I'm guessing it's specific to Android Chrome. I'm not sure if this is something new or not, as it's only recently that my clients would be primarily more mobile focused than desktop.
Thanks for looking!

Seems to work fine in Chrome for iOS so it’s probably specific to Chrome for Android.

Seems likely
Unfortunately, whatever Android Chrome has changed is quite a big deal in terms of how this set of customers is likely to interact with my website. At least among my clients, Android appears to be the favoured mobile system and very few appear tech savvy. I had enough problems getting them to email me with details of what they wanted, let alone asking them to downgrade or change browsers lol.
Hopefully someone might know of some kind of solution, or come across something like this before.
Thanks,
Chris

Matt might have some ideas.

Off the top of my head, no idea. And I personally use an iPhone, so haven't had this issue. I will look into it, though. High on my to-do list is to upgrade to a newer version of Fancybox, though, as we've fallen a few updates behind. If we're very lucky, that will fix it for us.

I unearthed the very crummy Android phone that I have, and tried out your site on Chrome. The cart worked perfectly. Then I upgraded to the most recent version of Chrome, and I see the same problem you're having. =/

Thanks for checking, Matt.
If it wasn't the default browser for us Android Philistines, I'd just brush it off as something that might fix itself in a later update.

Well, this tells me the code is sound and that the problem is a bug in Chrome, or perhaps in the underlying OS. I'm hoping that when I upgrade Fancybox to the latest, we might get a fix for free. Else, I'll need to see whether there's a workaround we can implement. Whether this will be fixable in the application, though, is anyone's guess.

It's been a little while, but revisiting this issue to see where we stand on things. I am NOT seeing this issue in our examples of Cart or Client Response here on The Turning Gate, running the current latest versions of Backlight and its add-ons.
Anyone else?

Thanks for checking Matt.
For reference, I'm running Backlight 1.2.3 and Cart 4.1.5
Am I up to date, or have I managed to miss an update?

For Backlight 1, you appear to be up to date according to the Changelogs

By "... current latest versions of Backlight and its add-ons," I was of course referring to Backlight 2.
