Hi all,
cannot enter Backlight Modules!?
Why that?
Best regards,
Oliver

What do you mean by that?
We need more info. Or better yet, post Guest Updater credentials so someone can take a look.

Hi Rod,
I can login to Backlight and have access to any clickable link but if clicking on "Backlight Modules" I get:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator at service@webmailer.de to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

That will help Ben. I suggest sending him Backlight admin credentials. he may also need ftp access.
You could also try clicking on the Update Backlight Index Files under Special Links on the Backlight dashboard page.

Have you tried emailing the address in the message?
As it says, this is a server error. We can’t tell what’s happening on your server to cause this. It’s likely something blocking the Modules page from contacting our server to check for updates.
Have you previously been able to load that page? Have you recently had a server or PHP upgrade?
Please provide me with FTP access via email so that I can try and work out what’s going wrong.

Ben, thank you very much for your prompt help!
My provider Strato fixed the problem today, I have access to Backlight Modules again.
Best regards,
Oliver

Ben,
sorry, Strato didn't fixed the problem. I had success to Backlight Modules only for one time last weekend.
The Strato support sent following message:
"STRATO does not block outgoing connections from web hosting servers. Incoming connections are temporarily blocked at most if the IP address has a behavior similar to a DoS attack.
I was not able to detect any limitation on the part of our systems during tests. The Turning Gate servers may be blocking requests coming from STRATO." (translated by Deepl)
Best regards,
Oliver

Hi Oliver, we're looking further into this.
I can confirm that the requests are not reaching our PHP scripts, and that there's nothing on the application level, including Wordfence, that is blocking anything. I'm not aware of any mechanism above our web server files that would be blocking it, but we'll reach out to support for advice on this, including passing them the IP of where the requests are coming from. That seems to be the only piece of information that we have coming from your server that might differentiate requests from those of other hosts.

That's a very strange error. Can you provide me with a Backlight admin login, and FTP access via Email so that I can look into this?

Thanks for the login. I am only seeing the 500 error, and not the message with "body..." that you encountered.

Getting the same errot trying to enter Backlight modules at Strato at this time....
Internal Server Error

Just phoned Strato...At saterday there´s no technician that can help. And they do not support modules from other vendors!
By the way I am using PHP 7.2 for my domain.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Hi Oliver, I believe I may have broken something when looking at your server. I will log in again this evening Melbourne time and fix it. Sorry for the trouble.

Hi Oliver, I found the problem and fixed it. It was some debugging code I had put in one of the module-framework files when woking out the issue with the connection to get.theturninggate.net. The modules page is now working.

Dear Ben, thank you very much :-)
Everything working again!
