I upgraded Backlight to Backlight 2 by following the video. Although I had only a rudimentary site setup with Backlight, it was gone after the update. I had not done much with backlight so am not particularly concerned, but would be interested in knowing the cause of this..
My more immediate concern is the following error I am getting with Backlight 2 after trying to work with Wordpress
Something went wrong
The template could not be found for id 12 in GalleryDelegate.php on line 121
I am willing to go back to a clean install and start from the beginning if that is the simplest route. Please advise

Did you install the okapi modules (Backlight > Admin > Backlight Modules > Okapi Web Modules)?

I only see "okapi-core 2.0.0". Is that it?

No, it is called Okapi Web Modules. It is the last row.

Since this happened when you’re in WordPress, have you tried re-exporting your WordPress template to WordPress?
Also check to make sure you are using an existing page template for your WordPress template.
If that doesn’t do it, consider posting Guest Updater credentials so someone can take a look.

I had not been able to figure out anything on WordPress so suspect it is the lack of a template
On the missing draft content from Backlight 1, all the basic site info was also missing, so I re-entered it
I will be traveling today so will be off-line till later
Thanks

There may have been a problem with your original Home page. I created another: home-2, and made it the index page. That worked.
I then changed the name of your original Home to Home-old and changed the name of home-2 to Home.
All seems to be working now. I've deleted "Home old" so that now it should look just like you left it.
If you want to use WordPress you still need to enter the URL to the WP installation in Backlight Settings and you'll need to create a WordPress template. (Have you installed WordPress to your site yet?)

When you updated from BL 1 to BL 2 did you happen to overwrite the backlight/data folder?
That would explain missing page content as well as Settings being reset.

Thanks for the fix.
Neither the video or the written instructions remind you to preserve the data folder. While I should have remembered to do this , from previous upgrades, You should add this to the instructions fr those upgrading from BL1.
WordPress is installed but I am new to WP. I will read the instructions on this and come back later with any questions.

From http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … acklight_2
Delete or move aside everything from within /backlight except for /backlight/data and /backlight/custom. Make sure to leave any gallery folders untouched.

^^^^ What Daniel said.
And the video demonstrates a fresh install, not an upgrade.
