I'm happy with what I've created for top pallet, masthead, navigation and footer. Now, I need help with the content areas for my home page.
I would like to fill the background, not just color, but with an image. I also want to place a block of text, that is adjustable in height and width, anywhere within the content areas.
I wish I can include an image of the layout for clarification.

Placing an image in the page background is easy. First upload a suitably sized image via the Backlight uploader
Designer > Templates > Uploaded Images
In your page template go to Background

You’ll need to better illustrate what you want with text. What do you mean by “adjustable in width and height”?

Rod, after I learned how to add background image from you, I had managed to place a block of text in the content area where I wanted.
Thanks.
