Problems after the update to 2.0
my website has no layout anymore. I've done all the steps in the manual, for example, upgrade the databases.
As a test, I reinstalled a clean version of Backlight2 on a different URL and have the same problem there - no layout. A clean installation of Backlight 1 works immediately without a problem.
here the link to my website: https://shop.wolfademeit.de

looks like it could be a certificate problem.
Have you configured the site url in Backlight to include the https portion of your site url?

Also, did you remove all the old backlight modules?
Did you upload the .htaccess and index.php file from the top level of the unzipped installer download to the root of your site?

My Site URL is https://shop.wolfademeit.de inside Backlight Settings.
A couple of month before I switched form http to https, but Backlight1 works fine after doing that.
At my server I also use a durable, SEO-friendly 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS.

What about the other question having to do with removing old files and uploading the .htaccess file?

yes I did that, but there is no htaccess file at the top level to copy.

you need to change the settings in your operating system or your FTP client software to show hidden files.
See number 2 in the Installation instructions: http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … tion_setup

In the meantime, I found the file, but it did not change anything. I got back the old Backlight1 installation from the backup and it works fine. Only Lightroom module can not connect to this version anymore.
I've tried twice the update on Backlight2 to install (with htaccess file) - unfortunately always without a layout again.
In the folder backlight is also an htaccess file. If I install it during the installation, then the page can not be loaded (too many redirects).
I honestly do not know what I could change.

For Backlight 2 to work you must have the .htaccess and index.php files found at the top level of the unzipped install folder in the root of your site.
You must also have the .htaccess and index.php files found in the backlight/ folder in the backlight/ folder on your site.
I'm guessing Matt or Ben will need to take a look at your set up.
As to the Publisher plug-in in Lightroom, make sure the API url is correct as well as the API key.

I get a SSL certificate error: host name mismatch. Maybe the certificate is not valid for subdomains. Try installing your test site in a subdirectory of your main domain and see if it works there, or check your certificate.

Now I have the layout back after I copied the htaccess file back into the backlight folder, but still a lot of other errors.
Lightroom TTG Publisher do not see the cart module, but it is installed in Backlight Version 5.0.2 (Backlight Cart Dashboard say 5.0.0)
When I try to open a protected gallery I get the following error message:
Warning: require_once (./../../ backlight / framework / Framework.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/web186.sydney.webhoster.ag/httpdocs/shop /galleries/cheetahs/lib.php on line 48

Two things. Make sure you're using the latest TTG Publisher Lightroom plug-in. There's a link right at the top of the Backlight Modules page to download it.
Also try Updating Album files from the link (under Special Links) in the main Backlight dashboard.

The cart version number not matching is probably just an oversight.

I installed the new plugin (cart is visible now) but still got the same errors

An oversight to not remove it from the Dashboard. Backlight 2 has two versioning schemes, of which the one in the Dashboard is not important to the end user.

did you try clicking on the Update Album Files link?

Have you also installed the Okapi Web Modules from the Backlight Modules page?

Okapi Web Modules and Core are installed. I don't see a Update Album Files link!

Got it. Found the update Album File link - now it works.
Thanks for your support…

One more thing…
During the test I deleted a Gallery in Lightroom TTG Publisher but it is still available at the Website because I use a Backup. Is there a way to remove it?
Offline
You can delete albums on the website through the Backlight Admin. Navigate through Publisher and albums.

Thanks…
