All upgrades to BL2 have gone well so I attacked the blog this morning. Outcome, not so good.
I can get access to BL2 admin and finally to WP_Admin after adding a rewrite role to .htaccess to take care of my custom WP_admin login URL. But while the home page appears, it is devoid of content. Have updated the theme from within BL2 admin and exported same to WP and am using child theme. Any ideas?

The good news is that everything appears to be working correctly, except that the loop.php file isn't doing it's thing. There's a simple dearth of source code at exactly the point that file gets pulled in, and everything around it looks as expected.
I'm not having such issue on my side, though, so I'm not quite sure what's going on.
Have you made any changes to that file? Are you using a child theme? Are you using any PHPlugins (a crashing function could take down that entire file)?

Hi Matt. Haven't touched loop.php file, didn't even know I had one. I am using a child theme, but I also tried activating some of my other themes to no avail. I am only using the phpluggins that I use on my other sites where they work perfectly and they only modify galleries. Strangely the galleries work just fine. Only thing missing is the main content and the sidebar. Most peculiar.

For now, can you disable the PHPlugins script and let me know whether that makes any difference. Also, do you get the same result when enabling the exported theme rather than your child theme, or same thing?
Offline
My thought exactly. I just disabled phplugins. Pretty much no change except a change in the footer, so phplugins was affecting something I'd forgotten about, Exported theme and child theme produce the same effect.

Can you please go into your wp-content/themes folder, zip up the theme and email it to me?

use Matt's email. The link is under his name and picture in his post above

Can't you attach the file the same way you would for any regular email?

Nope. If I go to your email I can. Clicking the email link under your name in the forum opens my email client. Clicking the email link under Matt's name opens an email sender in the forum that has no visible means of adding attachmen
Addendum: not to worry. File sent via alternate means.

And the file attachment was blocked as suspicious. Try sending to mjcampagna at gmail dot com?

Hi there,
Same problem here...
When I activate the new custom php file the blog side is blank and I get a php error in wordpress
PHP Fatal error: Class 'URLHelper' not found in /home4/.../public_html/backlight/modules/module-designer/application/helpers/APHPlugins.php on line 27
If I remove "class PHPlugins extends APHPlugins" the php functionality doesn't work but the blog shows up again...
Any Idea?
Many thanks in advance and Krgds

Hi Sven, you've found a bug. The PHPlugins have a dependency on our URL helper, but that URL helper isn't available in Wordpress. I've come up with a fix, that will be included in the next maintenance update.

Matt gmail has blocked that message as well.
Unbelievable. Can you put the ZIP file online someplace and give me a link to download it?

I get the same problem, so have turned off PHP plugins...
Do you know the fix will be issued?

Mark,
The theme is working fine:
http://campagnapictures.com/blog/
So I'm assuming then that the issue is ONLY the PHPlugins thing Ben mentions above. We're planning to release updates by Tuesday at latest.

The content-less site I originally posted about is now in a subdomain at https://blog.photophart.com/testblog. As of this morning (08/19/2018) it was updated to the new TTG BL2 updates. As you can see everything seems to work except for the wordpress content which is still blank. The original site was converted back to BL1 several days ago and is working fine. PHPlugins is disabled on the test site. Any new ideas on what might be causing this?

In Backlight Settings what is the URL to WordPress?

Hold on for an hour or two Rod, I'm redeploying the test site from the original to try some different settings.
To answer your question, the test site URL in BL2 is correct at https://blog.photophart.com/testblog

Don't know whether you got to click on my while I had your theme enabled, but the loop displayed without issue. As I was unable to reproduce the problem, I was unable to deduce anything about it. Might be useful to poke my head into your site via FTP?

Well, test site at https://blog.photophart.com/testblog is live again and the blank content is still there. Matt when you say you got the loop to work I suspect you hit the site while I was creating a new BL2 test site from a functioning BL1 site.
