Hi... I haven't checked this forum in a long while and it seems any CE3 discussion has disappeared. I'm hoping I can get an answer here:
I've been happily using CE3 without a problem until this afternoon. Today, when I try to publish some photos to a gallery that's been functioning well since I created it, I get an "unable to perform action uploadRendition" and "unable to authenticate" message.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

could be php upload limits.
the "unable to authenticate" message suggests that the connection between Publisher and your site isn't working. Have you tried checking authentication in Publisher setup?

Hi Rod, it turns out the problem was an illegal character in the file names of the images that would not upload. The illegal character was the ampersand. As soon as one of those files came up in the publish queue, the uploading aborted and the error message appeared.

It was easy once I figured out... :-)

the general rule of thumb for naming files or folders on the web is to use only letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores.
No spaces, commas, apostrophes or other special characters.
