Hi,
Longtime CE3 user here, have just started using Backlight. Design went smoothly, but I can't seem to get the albums to show on my galleries page. It just shows " Galleries>" in text on the page, but nothing else. I can make a drop down to link to the albums, but I don't want to do that. What am I missing?
Thanks!
Carlo

Can you post a link to your site?
Have you published any albums to your new Backlight galleries page? (seems like you have, but just checking)

Is it possible that you've created a new Galleries page and added that to your menu set rather than using the Galleries album set?

I have exactly that, (only changed the name "Galleries" to "albums", and it links to Album Set/Galleries/Descent up to 3 levels.
When I click on the link on the page, it doesn't show the albums; these can only be reached through the dropdown.
In CE3 I had this page to show multiple albums (thumbnails), just like you have on your page here: http://www.rodbarbee.com/galleries/1-landscapes/

I looked at your albums and there are multiples of the same image with apparently the same file name. This makes me wonder if this might be a server related issue.
Do you know what version of php your site is running and if the required modules are enabled?
You can check by going to the Backlight main dashboard and clicking on View PHP info for the version and click on List PHP Modules to see if SQLite and PDO modules are enabled.

You've still got a CE3 site in place? That might be the problem.
Looks like you still have a /galleries/ folder and a galleries.php file. I don't think having that galleries/ folder for CE3 albums and Backlight is going to work.
I think you'll be better off by using a differently named top-level galleries folder for Backlight. Name the folder "albums" if you wish and aim Publisher at that folder instead.
Is your CE3 site Publisher managed or are all your albums exported and uploaded?
Backlight has a tool for converting CE4 Publisher managed albums and album sets to Backlight control. At one time Matt was offering the CE4 Publisher plugin free to CE3 users so they could convert from CE3 Publisher control to CE4. And then run the Backlight tool to convert from CE4 to CE3.
I don't know if he's still offering that.
If you're not using Publisher on your CE3 site, then see this post with some advice on how to go about it:

PHP is 7.1.14
SQLite3 and PDO are installed.
The problem with same images came up a few hours ago. This afternoon I uploaded other images and these went fine, so not sure this is the same issue.

Ah yes, that might be it. I uploaded Backlight to the public.html folder, which also still has the CE3 files. CE3 is not publisher managed. I'm sure I can delete the files and folders quite easily.
I'll give that a try and let you know. Thank you for your help!

Ok, deleted all the CE3 files, but didn't help my original issue. Album is still not showing on the Galleries page.
(The issue with one image appearing multiple times is solved however, this was due to an error in a file naming setting.)

Is there anything left over in the galleries/ folder from CE3?
I'd suggest deleting the albums from Publisher (in Lightroom) then completely empty the galleries folder and start over.

If I remember correctly, there's an index.html file in the CEx galleries/ folder that redirects to galleries.php. Since that no longer exists, you get a page error.

I did a complete clean install, and all seems to work now. Thanks again!
