You have tons of information in this community, but I have not been able to successfully search for how to enable thumbnails for Album sets. I would love it if it could be random, taken from the albums in a particular set.
Right now, mine look like this:

In the Edit Album dialog under Publisher in Lightroom, there is an entry for this image. You can select any thumbnail that you have uploaded to the server or select Random, and it will randomly pick a photo.
This assumes that the photos and thumbnails have been uploaded (Published).

This works pretty much the same as it did in CE4
Random works for albums within a set.
For album sets within an album set (essentially what you have here--the Galleries page is an album set) you can either choose a cover image as Herschel suggested or, if you want to go the random route, choose several representative images from the albums within each set, export them from Lightroom as thumbnails of the appropriate size, and upload those thumbs via FTP to the respective album set's thumbnails/ folder.

Terrific, Rod. Alas, even with a search, I cannot find a thumbnails folder, nor can I find the album set location searching with the slug. I know it's there, obviously, but I could use some help with the general path:
backlight > ??? > ???
Many thanks, as always,

They're not in the backlight/ folder. They're in the galleries/ folder.
Using FTP, just take a look in your galleries/ folder. You'll see your album sets. Open them and you should see your thumbnails/ folder.

Worked like a charm! Of course! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
