I'm having errors when going to
http://bigsur.photography/?page=galleries
Clicking on a photo and closing, going to the menu and choosing (About)
Getting this below
http://bigsur.photography/about/ results in a 404
When the correct address is
http://bigsur.photography/?page=about
Does this from my gallery photos

Sounds like a problem with your .htaccess file. Did you upload the .htaccess included in the ZIP file when you installed Backlight?
You might not have seen it. The file is invisible by default in operating systems, and you would need to enable the Show Invisible Files (or similar) option in your FTP client.

I solved the problem.... found this posted... " change the Page URL Format setting (found within the Website Settings section of the Backlight settings) to ?page=about and clear your template cache."
I do really like ease of working with Backlight over using CE3 & 4
