First create a new page template. When you do, you’ll have the choice between a Standard Backlight Page or Pangolin Page template.
Then create a new album template. Under a Type, choose Pangolin Album and assign you Pangolin Page template.
When I try to create a pangolin page template I don't get the choice between standard backlight page and Pangolin page template. I have installed all the pangolin files under backlight>modules>pangolin-album, pangolin-album-set, pangolin-core, pangolin-page, pangolin-theater,
What should I do to solve this problem?

Hi Tineke, the choice will be given if you have both the Okapi and Pangolin modules installed. This would only be the case if you had installed Backlight before Pangolin was released, upgraded Backlight, and kept the previous standard modules in place.
If needed, the standard modules can be obtained by following the links in this post: http://community.theturninggate.net/vie … hp?id=7769
We only recommend using Okapi for backwards compatibility. If you're creating a new site since Pangolin was released, we recommend sticking with Pangolin.

Tineke,
If you activate the guest updates access again and post the credentials, someone can take a closer look

Hallo Ben
I have dowloaded from the turning gate site the Backlight-Pages-123-Release3.zip, Theater-125.zip, TTG-2018-Grid-Gallery-FREE.zip. With the read.me text I have installed the files. First the backlight files and then the theater files. Cleared the cache, but still I can only choose between the standard album and the theater album.
It is a hard learning curve. Sorry to ask so may questions.

Did you complete the installation process by visiting the areas of Backlight indicated in the readme file?
At this point it’s hard to offer any help without guest updater access to your Backlight installation.

I see no problems. I was able to create a Pangolin page template as well as a Pangolin album template.
Here is the procedure
Log into Backlight
Go To Designer > Templates
in the Page Templates area (at the top), click on "Create New Template"
Name the template and give it an identifier.
In the "Type" drop-down, choose "Pangolin Page"
Go back to Designer > Templates and scroll down the page to the Album Templates area
Click on "Create New Template"
Give the template a name and identifier.
In the "Type" drop-down, choose Pangolin Album or Pangolin Theater, if you're going to create a Theater template.
That's all you need to do to create the templates.

Thank you very much. I am going to give it a try. Now I can move on to create a better site.

One thing I think I remember noticing was that your Backlight version was still at 1.2.0. If you updated to the latest, that should be 1.2.3
But I can no longer see if it's still at 1.2.0
