Experiences setting up a Client Response album

Here is what I think is the correct process:

LR Publisher settings:

Base settings:
Choose the correct template

Features:
Enable Password
Enter user & password
(For Username, enter the user's actual email)

Integration:
Client Management = Unmanaged
Enable Feedback.

Once this is set up, 'Publish'.

In Backlight, using the Add Client process, you will need to re-enter the user's email address (seems strange, but need to do this in the two places. I can't remember if the password has to be re-entered.

no. If you've set Client Managed = Unmanaged under the Integration tab, then there is no need to set up a client in Backlight. This is because you're not using the Client Management feature at all.

If you want to use Client Management, then don't use password protection when creating the album.

I just read the doc. and if I follow that and change my Publisher setting to Managed, then I get this message:

Something went wrong
Unable to find pageTemplate with ID 29. Try updating the selected template for the application. in EngineFactory.php on line 71

If I have it set to Unmanaged, and then set up the client, it becomes a private gallery requiring email and password.
I think there is a bug there.

Edit:
To clarify, setting Unmanaged and adding a client (plus re-entering user/pass in Backlight), gives me a proper, protected customer response album.

FYI

The Chris & Amber album settings are 'enable password', 'unmanaged', 'enable feedback' and were added as a client (and user/pass set up in Backlight.
So that has no problems.
User is a**********m pass = 291017

It looks like you might have deleted a page template that Client Response was using.
I looked in your Backlight > Client Response > Settings and saw that under Personalization, the Template showed 29. It should have been the name of a page template.
I entered into the Settings and clicked in the drop down. The only option was Default. So your Default Page template now controls the styling of the client facing Client Management login.

So try creating a Managed Client Response album now and see if it works.

Should I re-install backlight?
How do I go about that?

A couple of days ago I did consolidate pages & templates. One thing that was odd, was the single page template 'Default' was set to 'no' under the Default Template column.

I could not change that. So I cloned it, (I think it was originally called 'Default Page'), called the clone 'Default' and made it the Default Template, then I deleted the other one.

I was going to write it in as a bug, but figured I had fixed it.

You do not need to re-install Backlight.

You didn't create that login as a client.

In admin, got to Client Response => Clients, and create a client using that login. Assign the album to that client so that they can access it once logged in.

Managed galleries are explained in documentation:

You must create a client.
You must publish an album as "managed".
You must assign that album to the client.

Also, please go back through this thread, edit your posts, and remove your clients' email addresses. I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate you sharing their email in a public forum, where it might be scraped by spammers or bots.

For testing and sharing here in the forum, I suggest you create a test client using a fake email address as login.
